Optus Number Share on Prepaid Epic Value Prepaid Plan $150

Hi Guys.

Does any one know Optus supports the number share to the Apple watch in the Optus Prepaid Epic value plan of $150 (365 days expiry). The prepaid team suggest Yes(with $0 cost). But I suspect its only for post paid plans.

Can someone confirm?

I just don't want to buy that plan and get stuck with it for next one year.

  • Can someone confirm?

What did Optus say when you asked them??

    • They say it supports for prepaid and 0$.

      • I just saw this and jumped on chat but they responded no

Number sharing option is not available with the Prepaid plan hence you need to go with any monthly plan to use the watch

        • Thanks for responding. I thought so..But the prepaid team on call said it is eligible on prepaid plan of 150$..but really doubted him.

          • @alonsof1: I've had a Samsung LTE capable watch for a while now. Been on boost $150/yr for nearly 4 years so I can't stomach paying anything more.
Cheapest I've seen with number share was with Vodafone for $35/mo

If you do decide to get this and manage to get numbershare working, please leave a comment.

            • @FirstWizard: Im on boost as well from 2 yrs..but couldnt utilise my apple watch…so thought ill change to others who can provide it…but its been expensive..than 150$/yr with any provider. As only Optus, vodafone n telstra support the LTE watches and on their postpaid plans.

I've now managed to activate a Lebara eSim on my Samsung LTE watch and it works quite well. When texting you can select which sim to use. and they have two different numbers, so no number-share is available. My main connection on the phone is still the Boost one.
