    these are pretty uncomfortable to wear for longer than an hour

    • I was looking into the version with ANC (the HD 450BTs). Would you say they share this trait? Are similarly priced headphones like the Sony WH-CH710N and WH-XB900N a bit better when it comes to comfort?

        Same design, so same headclamp.

        AKG N700NC M2 is the one to compare against at this price point.

        • Will have a look, thanks for the recommendation!

        I have both the 450BT and the XB900N and the Sony's are much much more comfortable (for me). The band is better and has a slightly lighter clamp. Another factor is the 450's sit on-ear with the 900N's over-ear which I prefer. Tbh once I got the Sony's the Senny's never left their pouch.

        • Well damn I guess that's quite the deal breaker haha! Currently Amazon has a similar pair from Sony called the WH-H910N, would you say they are a better deal than your XB's?

            @ExcelAvinash: I don't have any experience with the 910N but on paper it looks like they spec slightly better than the XBs. For $166 I personally would be seriously considering them and if the choice came down to them or the BT450's I would go the Sony's.

            • @Fullbrewz: Thanks for the advice! I'm probably going to grab them then as they just look too damn good at that price

                @ExcelAvinash: NP. I don't think you'll regret it :).

                @ExcelAvinash: I have the 900Ns, (previous model) and have been very happy with them.

                Also a bloody good price.

  • I bought them when they were on sale for $95. Cannot wear them for longer, they have been replaced by cheaper soundpeats in ear.

    • These sound actually good compared to most of soundpeats range. Agree re comfort though.

  • ive got the earlier model from the Sennheiser refurbished sale a few years back - have them on 80% of the day in the office - work ok, my ears/head handle it - average head - mostly full of rocks and sawdust.

    FYI Currently $99 refurbished for this one

  • I wear the 450 5 plus hours as my headset for my job. They are fine. It feels firm around the ears but the pads are comfortable. Only slight issue I have is answering calls and pairing. The knob you use to answer calls is annoying and the pairing is not intuitive.

    Listening to music they are clear and have good battery life. You 100 percent need to update the firmware using the app or you will get some very annoying low battery announcements even though there's plenty of charge.
