You need to keep the insurance valid for 3 months to get this bonus. Poncho insurance renews monthly and you pay monthly automatically if you don't want to make any change. One of the good thing about monthly renewal is just say you have your car written off, you don't need to pay another few months of premium which you could be required to if the policy is renewed annually even if you make monthly payment.

Step 1: Get a quote, buy a policy.

Step 2: If you meet the terms and conditions your referrer may get a $100 cash reward and you may get a $100 cash reward.

  • Hard pass, can't get a quote without entering personal contact details

    • Just put any email address in and the quote still comes up

  • Not bad however I passed on them as WW insurance had far better value (20k points, 10% discount on monthly shop).
Poncho didn't allow me to change the excess (stuck at $800) to alter the monthly premium.

    • +1

WW works out at $8 more a month for me (with 10% shopping discount it would probably work out better at WW) but they value my car at almost 30% less than Poncho. I do agree though, there is more flexibility to adjusting the premium with WW if you're not happy with the standard quote settings. As a side note, i've not yet had to make a claim with Poncho (touch wood) so cannot comment on if they are easy to deal with when claiming.

Equally this applies for WW and claims for me (again, touch wood haha). And mixed results on productreview but can never fully trust what is posted. To be fair, the claims process is really the true determinant of value.

Poncho's month to month renewal may be attractive to some as it doesn't tie you up for a whole year.

  • Just used a referral code starting with "JASP". This is more of a note for me to come back and check referral bonus and as an FYI for the referrer
