Hey Guys,

We have $19 off the Aeotec Smart Home Hub. For anyone not sure this is basically the replacement for the Samsung SmartThings v3 hub - same software and hardware, just with a different brand name.

The Aeotec Smart Home Hub (Works with SmartThings) enables you to automate and control a huge range of smart devices and make them work in unison to create a seamless smart home. The hub utilises Zigbee, Wi-Fi and Z-Wave protocols. The SmartThings app for iOS and Android enables monitoring and control of your connected devices from anywhere. You'll also receive alerts from connected devices when there is unexpected activity. Voice control is available via Alexa and Google Assistant.

Price in title. I was picking up the smarthings hub v3 for about $19 from JB. I legitimately thought that this was $19 shipped and was going to jump onboard. Turns out it is $140…

I don't believe this is a bargain and will neg when someone else comes up with comparison prices.

    • Apologies. Have fixed.

The low price from JB was a stock clearance price, since Samsung discontinue selling the hubs. Used Samsung-branded hub is about $80-$100 in eBay (ref 1 ref2). So I would say this price is ok for brand new. Comparison for brand new hub: https://www.smarthome.com.au/smartthings-hub.html

Yep, the Original Smartthings hub was launched for over $250, and I believe the last version had an RRP of $199. I got one when it was on clearance for ~$90 , therefore $19 was definitely a clearance price (probably an instore special).
$140 for this is an ok price, and looks like the cheapest (by few dolars) compared to some of the other online stores.

Op can you provide any deals on the smartthing zigbee sensors?

  • Need a third hub to extend my smartthings wifi, but at this price can't justify it.

    • I'm in the same boat. Mesh Tenda setup can be had for $99 but another network would clash with double NAT issues.

I'm using multiple Google Wifi as mesh (for basically every wifi device) and one SmartThings Hub v3 for home automation .. works well.

        • 5x google wifi mesh
          3x hue hubs
          1x smartthings hub

          Everything works flawlessly

  • Looking to get some Shellys. Any deal on those?

    • The Shelly EM looks good. 100ish delivered from EU
