Is this the latest ploy from Shopback?
Poco X3 Pro. Shopback app appears after unlocking screen on average once per day.
I have just uninstalled. I don't use the garbage anymore anyway given they so often don't track or honour cash backs.
Maybe instead of developing crap apps that infiltrate phone settings, they should work a bit harder on getting their core model to work i.e. tracking clicks and paying out what's promoted.
Next step is to use your card to pay itself.
is there something in the permissions that can prevent the app from auto-starting?
It was blocked from auto start.
I didn't even know that apps could do that. I always found it a bit sus how they heavily incentivised us to install it.
I was never a fan of their extension either, last I had it, it used up A LOT of my computers resources for whatever reason

The poor experience is not so much to do with the app but more to do with shopback not honouring credits. Until you decide to fix that, I'll solely use cash rewards with no fuss thanks.
I can understand why it may appear that we're the gatekeepers for Cashback, but it's quite the opposite.
The merchant/brand has the final say on what orders are eligible or ineligible.
We have 0 say in the matter as we're not the retailer.
If they say that your order is ineligible, we don't get paid a commission which means there's nothing to pass on as Cashback.
That said, we still do everything we can to chase your Cashback with the merchant/brand as we obviously want to earn a commission and pass on your Cashback.

Had this happen twice now on the app, thought it was just my phone being strange the 1st time it happened (before this post), second time was this morning so it's time to uninstall
