        • -3

          too much hassle lei

        • +3

What do "lah" and "lei" mean???

        • +14

          i reckon wickedwill is Malaysian/Singaporean :-P

        • +5

t25 - We hardly care where you are from or the other community members..We are one here and are known as OZ'bargainers..(of Oz'bargainers community myself)

        • -3

so (deliberately!) speaking like an uneducated person is ok?

        • +9

          Calm down uleh!

        • +2

I have no idea what uleh means but sounds very interesting

        • Interesting!
          I had no idea :p
So "lah" and "lei" etc are added as sort of phonetic expressions at the end of sentences. When Singaporeans speak in English?

        • My Malaysian friends can not say shopping without adding 'lah'. I love to tease them about it, as I love it. Never realised some see this as 'uneducated', as they all have degrees.
So, yes King Tightarse - its a bit like Kiwis or people from FNQ adding 'eh'.

        • Gotcha…
          Canadians too, eh?
Kiwis = "eh, Bro"…..always with the "Bro"

        • Not to mention anyone under 15… lol

  • Eneloop AA batteries, possibly the best rechargeable AA size batterie on the market today.

  • Got in on the last eneloop deal. Postage is $4.95 to suburban Melbourne. Not too bad!

    • No SE either, but still a good pick up, can't see colour batteries once their in use lol

  • +8

hmmmm…how come the AAA batteries never go on sale???

my coloured eneloops are still unopened from the last deal lol

  • +1

Will be good if free shipping.

  • +4

Everything I have uses AAA type.

  • Can I charge these with an after market NiMH Charger?

  • +2

I got some of the Turnigy LSD's from Hobby King they run quite well, from my tests they either are the same as Eneloops or some are even better in terms of capacity. If you don't want to spend money on these, then get some of the ones from Hobby King.

    • +1

The Eneloops claim 1500 charges with no memory loss. Have you had yours long enough to test that?

    • Thanks. Just brought some. Will see how they go. Got 10 AAA's for $13.49 delivered.

  • Try to buy that last couple times but i missed, this time I got that! great deal! thanks for sharing!

  • The most you can order is 5 (5x2packs of 4 that is). Postage is a flat 4.95 for 1-5.

  • +3

No glitter and no free post.

    • +5

Yes, its not as good. Still, its available.

  • Recommendations for a charger for these cells??

    • +1

      Maha C9000

    • +2

Maha's good, but if you're more of a cheaparse than cheaparse, the La Crosse from Amazon.com is even cheaper now than in the deal posted recently, plus you can add AAA eneloops to the same shipment very cheap.

  • +2

Gonna pass this one. Still havnt opened the glittery 8 pack

  • Waiting for the pickup or free post deal.

  • are these 1.2v or 1.5v the last eneloop bargain limited edition ones were 1.2v

    • +3

I don't think any of my Eneloops are 1.5v and I don't think any of my Ni-MH batteries are more than 1.2v I CBA to move to my room to find out. I am sure a Google search will reveal all. Good deal but again I haven't even opened my Glitter Eneloop pack yet.

      • +1

        You are correct.

    • +17

      High school chemistry:

      Anode: MH + OH—> M + H2O + e: 0.83v
      Cathode: NiOOH + H2O + e—> Ni(OH)2 + OH: 0.52v

      The overall reaction is:
      NiOOH + MH —> Ni(OH)2 + M: 1.35v

      http://www.cellpacksolutions.co.uk/battery-information/batte…

Of course, that is the maximum theoretical value lol

      • +5

that must have been some good high school.

All we learnt was to chase girls and kick ball…

    • For full 1.5v rechargeables you'll need Nickel-Zinc batteries. PowerGenix makes them and they're only available online so far (look on eBay).

    • Yup all NiMHs (too my knowledge) are 1.2V, as stated above you need NiZn if you want 1.5V. I don't know how good the limited brands of the NiZns are though…

  • -1

Gonna pass this one and waiting for free postage or pick up. No need for it atm.

  • Eneloops are great last several time longer than cheap generic recargeables.

Still waiting for a deal on the Eneloop AAA which are hardly ever on sale.

  • It IS a good price, considerably better if you're in a position of needing more than one lot of 2 packs, because of the shipping.

The fact that most of us here have plenty due to previous deals doesn't make this any less a bargain.

  • Just so you all know, these are the older ones that have max 1500 recharge cycles.
The new eneloop chemistry allows for 1800 cycles and have an even lower self discharge.

    • Where do you get these new 1800 recharge cycle eneloops?
Can't seem to find them anywhere online.

    • Are you sure? I can't find anything about newer eneloops that allow for 1800 cycles. Their website says the newer ones are the 1500 cycle ones? http://www.eneloop.info/home/the-new-improved-eneloop.html

    • yeh you guys are right… I don't actually think they are available for release in Australia.
I remember a big fuss about them last year on candlepowerforums when Sanyo made a press release.
Sanyo had a huge lineup of new Eneloop products. The wikipedia article mentions the 1800cycles too, but not much info either way.

  • Could anyone confirm please that regular chargers can be used with Eneloops?

  • These are very good for external flash. They just keep on going and going and going… still using my first charge in my Metz.

  • +1

Thanks for posting this, it reminded me I hadn't received my previous order of glitter Eneloops in Feb =[

When I called them up, all they had to say was 'sorry, we didn't have enough so we cancelled your order'. Well, thanks so much for telling me >:( Didn't receive any emails or phone calls about it grrrr

    • +1

I had the same incident with the Philips Bluray player they had on special a while back. Waited over 2 months (was showing as 'In Progress' on the site).. Finally called them up, and was told they didn't have any left so the order was not processed. The person I spoke to then offered me a Sony bluray player for the same price ($63 instead of $99) which I accepted and had delivered to my doorstep 2 days later.

Lesson in all of this: If you don't get your goods from DSE within a week or so, call up and find out. Usually they ship the next day..

If anyone from DSE is reading this, PLEASE fix your system so you can automagically inform your customers, there is NO excuse in this day and age to cancel orders or run out of stock and NOT update a customer.

    • What about your money?

  • lol amazon charges shipping at $993.21 for the batteries.

  • Great deal. I missed the glitter batteries and ended up paying $20 for a 4-Pack.

  • How do these compare with the energizer rechargable AAs?

  • Thanks. I've somehow managed to miss out on every other Eneloop deal (poor timing!) so I've nabbed this one.

  • So tempting to grab these for my battery grip and external flash for my DSLR but… needing 20 batteries all up this is gonna be one costly expense especially needing to go buy a charger as well…
    Curse you OzBargain!

    • but think of the savings!!! (there went $20 I wasn't planning on spending today :)

      • Knowing me I probably won't go through the batteries anyway (well other than for my flash) since I've got two batteries for my dslr anyway and they last and last and last… lol
Oh well need 8 for my flash anyway might as well get another lot of 8 for my battery grip and mouse wireless mouse lol (i'm saving on the shipping, i'm saving on the shipping, i'm saving on the shipping -repeat-)
(now where to get a cheap Maha C9000…)

  • Out of stock. :(

  • Out Of Stock
This product is not currently available.

  • It's back!

  • Yes, it is back. Just ordered 2 bundles

  • My order just arrived, I only received 8 batteries, even though I paid $39.98 for 2x 2x4pack AA Eneloops. I'm on the phone to them now. Will update with what they say…
