  • Thanks op. I stack this with amex 20 dollars back for 100 dollars spend.

  • ok bought as well
4x $100 gift card with 2 different amex

    • Did you buy a e-gift card or a physical gift card? Look like Amex offer doesn’t allow e-gift card.

  • its scary withing 10mins puchased of giftcards i got called from 02 72281102. didnt pickup but google showing this
anyone else? how could they know so much details?

    https://www.reverseaustralia.com/lookup/0272281102/

    • It seems entirely legit. They know "so much details" because it's Amazon that is calling. From the comments on the site you referred to, they are confirming that the order is legit and only asking for the last 4 digits of your card.

      • the amazon chat agent keep saying we do not call, that is scam, please report

        • I think it's pretty common for front line staff to have no idea of what actually occurs elsewhere in the business. Yes, be aware of scams, but I don't believe this is one and people in the comments on the link are mistaken.

          • @puffinfresh: and my 2 purchase of giftcares are still processing :(
i believe its real too, because i have used 2 different credit card (different name) in such a short time
chat again the agent just say wait…

  • +3

Used with amex promo but upped the value to $100, so basically 25 off 100! Works.

"Congratulations. Your purchase qualifies you for a $5 promotional credit. You will receive an email confirming when the credit has been automatically applied to your account within 8 business days after your order is shipped (for physical gift cards) or the order being completed (for electronic gift cards)."

  • +4

Has anyone received an email stating they receive the $5 promotional credit?

    • It'll be applied as gift card credit in 8 days or less

      • Will it show as $5 credit in your amazon account?

        • No, but it will be automatically applied to your order, when you place an eligible Amazon AU order.

          • @Stone Monkey: I ordered a physical card, so do I need to activate the physical card before I can access the credit or do I need to try within 8 days on eligible Amazon Au order to find out if I got the $5 credit?

            • +2

@htc: You will receive an email, this usually means that the $5 credit has been applied to your account. Once you have the email, you could try an eligible order to check.

If you don't receive an email after 8 business days, you can try an eligible order to check.

Can these gift cards be used to buy a prime subscription?

  • Presuming this deal has expired as can't see any 'redeem a Gift Card or Promotional Code' option at the Checkout stage atm.

    • Just worked for me. The 'redeem' box is on the very last page of the Checkout steps

  • Might be expired? Tried entering the code on a $100 gift card purchase, but getting this error ‘The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.’

Actually I think the 10k might have been reached by now

    • +1

no not expired. i just done it now.

Congratulations. Your purchase qualifies you for a $5 promotional credit. You will receive an email confirming when the credit has been automatically applied to your account within 8 business days after your order is shipped (for physical gift cards) or the order being completed (for electronic gift cards).

      • +1

    Code still working

  • Not working for me :(

Edit; tried again and worked fine just now. Make sure you use a browser and not the Amazon app.

  • Neither app nor browser working for me 😔

    • Did you see the promo code box for you to put it in during last check out page?

      • Yes. It says "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase." Wierd.

        • +1

I was getting the same error until I worked out that the voucher had already been applied. It wasn't obvious in the app (where I started) but the browser version had a box confirming the $5 credit would be applied (as well as the error message).

    • read above

    • Bought a $100 gift card just then and the code was working for me.

      • Nope. I tried everything…phone browser, computer browser…not working

    • same
I even got the message that I was eligible.
I guess wait for 8 days and hit up the help line?

  • bought a $100 eGift card a few minutes ago and the code is still working

  • The code does not seem to work but the order is automatically qualified for the offer.

  • Anyone got the $5 credit as yet ?

    • Not yet - I only ordered yesterday though

    • Nope. And, ordered as soon as the deal went live. Didn't get the confirmation of the code being applied, but did get the Qualifying Offers showing I would get it.

      Anyone got theirs yet?

      • Your promotional credit will be automatically applied to your account used to make the purchase within eight (8) business days

  • still works

  • +1

Anyone else not get the email confirmation that the promo was applied after purchasing? Have not received anything yet after over 24hrs.

  • Can I buy a $100 Apple Gift Card from Amazon to qualify for $20 rebate?

  • can it be applied once per customer?

it didnt allow me to add it to my second voucher purchase

Just ordered $75 e-gift card but the confirmation email hasn’t mentioned that I’m eligible for $5 promotional offer. Does it mean that the deal was ended?!

    • +1

Same here, hope it will come thorugh shortly

    • If you use PC browser, you should see it in check out page.

      • i remember seeing at the check out page. However, it isn't in my account and email doesn't mention it. contacted amazon and they told me it will take 8 business days. strange. Because it usually quite instant……anyone has the issue?

        • Everyone has this issue. The credit wont be applied until after a waiting period. seems to be 8 days after purchase.

  • no longer works :(

    • Mine came through today also..

    • May I ask when did you place your order?

      • According to the order confirmation email from Amazon, the order should've been placed around 1-2 am on 22-Nov.

        • Thanks for your reply. I placed the holder on 23rd around 2am. I have checked my email and I have received it today.

  • got mine today

  • Did anyone who got a physical gift card have their credit? I got a digital and a physical but only the digital one has been credited so far

    • The T&C said only one promotional credit per account..
      https://i.postimg.cc/P59Jp2pw/Amazon-Giftcard.jpg

      • Bought one on mine, other on husbands acc

        • Ahha, I suspected you might have used different accounts but figured it was worth mentioning anyway…

No doubt they're just working through them all and the other $5 will come through in time :)

  • Got the email and I'm guessing it's attached to my account, but not actually in my gift card total because it has a use by date 31.5.22.

    • Still nothing, is it a promo credit into my account or gift card code?

      • +1

It's a promo credit that only shows up at the checkout page if you buy something that's shipped and sold by Amazon AU. Otherwise you won't see it.

        • OK, in that case not there yet.

          • @superforever: You'll get it tomorrow, they send it out precisely on the 8th day of your purchase counting the order time too.

Like i bought the giftcard on 23 Nov 12pm, i received the benefit email today after 12pm.

  • Got my email confirmation today. $5 is ready at my checkout already.

  • Received today

  • I received the email but the credit isn't showing up at the checkout 😑. I might have to give customer service a call.

    • automatically applied a $5 promotional credit to your >account which can be used on eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon AU.

      Is the seller Amazon AU?

      • Yeah I tried it with a Kindle just to be sure.

        • Same amazon account?

          • @superforever: Yes it was the same account. I hit them up on the chat and she confirmed it didn't get added to my account and she added it manually.

  • I didn't receive the email or credit, despite the code working in checkout. I suspect it may be because I ordered a physical and digital card, neither of which were over $75 themselves and their system splits the order in two. Regardless, I followed the T&C's and was within the first 10000 (ordered Nov 23).

Their chat representative is trying to tell me it was a random allocation of 10000. I directed her to the T&C's, and she persisted. I asked for the issue to be escalated, and she ended up applying the $5 credit.
