              @Jonzay: We are actually one of the very few providers who offer most promotional deals to both new and existing customers and this is another example.

              Most providers only offer these sorts of deals for new customers. It's available to existing MATE customers adding a service.

                @rfc850: As you've explicitly said that they can't cancel their existing NBN plan and rejoin with the code for the deal, it is best left up to the public to decide whether this offer is "truly" available to existing MATE customers, who are likely using you only for their NBN connection.

                Yes, I get that you're trying to entice people to move their mobile plan over to mate.

        • It's disappointing that consumers have to hop around providers to take advantage of 'new customer' deals.

          Perhaps it's best for consumers to vote with their wallets, especially given the other 'Black Friday' offers provided by other ISPs.

          As Jonzay pointed out, it is up to the consumer to decide whether there is any value of being loyal to an ISP.

    • Yes, that's correct. TIDAL is available on the $25 mobile plan and above and you can still get the Echo Dot provided you enter the code on checkout.

  • "MATE" really went downhill once they moved away from Vocus as their wholesale provider.. dropouts, poor speeds… YMMV

    • They are still using Vocus these days as they decided to stay with them after the nightmare with the new wholesale provider they stop putting people on those Wireline wholesale. Last time I used them was last month, and they still on Vocus :)
