  • Wow these things are worth a lot now.
I wonder what my Charizard is worth these days. IIRC it's not creased, but the edges are well worn, because it was played often in a raindance firespin deck I ran for a while.

30% off arbitrarily priced singles is utterly meaningless.

I have a grain of rice that I painted black with sharpie 99% off today only $120! Every grain is unique and stock is very limited, so get in quick!

    • I don't understand this comment. Do you have an issue with this stores pricing, or the pricing of Pokemon cards in general?

      • The arbitrary 30% off being touted as a deal/bargain. It's not.

I'm familiar with Pokemon card demand/supply pricing including using TCGPlayer and TrollandToad as a benchmark, but it remains arbitrary.

    • If that's how you want to look at it, then the market price of anything is arbitrary! Time to call my old economics professor, we've broken the free market! Just stirring!

Pre-loved goods are difficult to price given that the condition of the item factors so highly into its value, and judging an item's condition is somewhat subjective. We do our best to judge a card's condition, and then guide our pricing based on recent sales from trading card marketplaces and networks across the internet. No pricing system is perfect, and we certainly don't claim that our system is the best, but its the best we can do. And at the end of the day, any product is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it!

If our cards aren't for you, that is totally fine. I hope you find some great Black Friday bargains anyway!
