MyDeal.com.au Import Duties?

Hello,
I was thinking of buying a product from MyDeal.com which is over $1000aud. The seller of this item is AlphaCity. I did some digging and found out the company is located in New Zealand and when accessing the site it redirected me to the PBTech Australia site (who I believe now own AlphaCity).

My question is, if this is a New Zealand company, will I end up paying import duties or other fees, import declaration forms etc?, I'm really paranoid about that stuff :P.

In the MyDeal.com terms and conditions it says under listings

  1. LISTINGS

"4.1 When you list a Product or Voucher for sale on the Site, you must include all information as required by MyDeal about you and the relevant Product or Voucher. Such information may include (without limitation):

(a) your name, address and contact details;

(b) the total price payable by the Users for the Product(s) and/or Voucher(s), including (but subject to clause 4.2) all delivery costs and charges (“Sale Price”);

(c) the terms of your Seller Terms (as defined below);

(d) details of any warranty applicable to a Product and/or Voucher; and

(e) any other relevant information requested by MyDeal or required in order to accurately or legally represent and describe the Products and/or Vouchers.

    If it's over $1K, you will pay duties + GST (unless the seller collected the GST at time of sale).
    Customs notify you of the arrival of your items, which are then held until duties are paid. It is a self assessment process, you are directed to a website to find information about the class of goods and the % to be paid, which is based on the purchase price and shipping costs.
    Once this is paid, your goods are released very quickly.
