    I chatted with a Samsung agent this morning and she said that Samsung is aware of the broken trade up system and they are trying their best to fix it.

    • Agent: "This is a known issue and I apologise for the inconvenience. I know it is been quite a couple of days but they are doing their best to resolve it. Please consider checking it at a later time today or tomorrow."

    looks like I can trade up the S21+5g 128gb I got 2 weeks ago and get 256gb free of charge

    NO ONE SHOULD BOTHER WITH THIS.
    Samsung simply cut out the trade in service since late yesterday, my code that worked all day yesterday sudenly stopped working and it seems everyone has been getting the "unavailable" message.
    I've just gotten off the phone and they're blaming Asurion (the trade in partner), which is BS.
    What a bs company to be pulling crap like this.
    Just gut the damn deal instead of wasting everyone's time reinstalling the app and what not.

      to be fair - it probably is Asurion's fault - Samsung contracted muppets. If Samsung does replace Asurion, lets hope they don't make it hard for people who don't send in phones. e.g. admin charges and loss of $500 trade in bonuses

    If they can't even make a simple trade in process work, you have to wonder about the quality of the rest of Samsung's work.

    It really is quite an embarassing, unprofessional system they have setup….

    I bought mine in Sunday with the old $300 trade in promo. Looking at the bright side, whilst it was not maximum Ozbargain still a great price and it just landed at my place so can't fault the speedy delivery only a few days before Christmas.

    This price is matched everywhere now (JB, Harvey etc) - I just asked the chat about the $500 discount and they said it does not exist, it is just the $300 and $500 trade-in offer, with any device trade-in on top, but most people wouldnt be getting close to $500 with their old devices. If you're happy to pay $949, just walk into a store and take it home with you, beats waiting 1-2 days for the $50 off loyalty code which may never even come.

      I think you're misunderstanding the trade-in bonus offer. It's device trade-in (whatever that value is) PLUS the $500 trade-in bonus for S21+

  • Works for me. Ordered an s21+ in violet 128gb with a $360 trade in on an iPhone XS Max which may never get sent in.

    Also just got an email from Asurion: "Thanks for your query. We had maintenance being performed on our trade-in online resources which may have affected your Trade-In process. Please try to complete your trade-in and revert to us with screenshot if you still face an error. Apologies for the inconvenience."

    • Order confirmation received. I selected in store pick up so I could get it sooner - does it mean it's ready to pick up straight away or do I need to wait for another email?

      • Just ordered the S21+ 128Gb for $319 with $180 S10 trade-in which I won't send in so essentially $499 all up. Used $50 voucher.

        You'd need to redo the code again as the ones prior to maintenance won't work - at least that's what I found out…

  • bro i bought this shit for $594(+5) and now its $544(+5) and prob $494(+5) with newsletter and $314.3 with CDS (cant use newsletter under $350 so add $20.3 charger)
    but considering cds are rarer than diamonds ig $499 for everyone, $314.3 for those with cds and $549 if u cant be (profanity) getting newsletter

      • a diamond rare code you get for taking a photo of a broken s20 series phone with your phones iemi in it and emailing them saying you want to buy a new phone any discount.

        although i think some people may have had success taking photos of the front of a broken s20 from online and then taking a photo of the back of their s20 with iemi in it.

    • hell no, I tried over 4 different providers, someone in here said they had success with ProtonMail but I didn't try that

    • email in 24 hours after and they will reply the next day so around 48 hours and give manual code

  • So the Samsung App now has a warning which states they will possibly charge additional fees if you do not return your device ($275).

          that is the value of the trade in. if you don't send it back you get charged the value which is the norm.

          nothing extra other than this although T&C says you may get charged an administration fee of $60. on reports either way on this as of yet

                    Does this look right to you? Sorry you seemed to have experience with this sale and I don't want to foolishly get this wrong lol.

                      - $275 trade in = $274

                      its only $274 IF you trade in your phone otherwise it $549 like everyone else. (you can not trade in your phone and still get bonus if you didnt know)

    • Wording sounds vague "will possibly" similar to the "Samsung may also charge you for any additional bonus credit which was applied to your order." on the FAQ.

      People have mentioned Asurion does not charge anything extra which is confirmed in an email.

    Where do you put in the code from the newsletter, during the checkout?

    • ye during checkout, email them manually about the code after 24 hours and next day they should manually generate you a code.

    • It takes 24-48 hours for it to come thru I gave up waiting for it since you aren’t even sure if it will ever comes thru

        I will post couple of more shortly, lession lerned- get that $50 voucher email in off- season so you be ready whne next sale pops up

    This has to be the worse experience EVER buying this phone and using Samsung web site and that useless trade in app! It crashes and then their website site crashed! Their live chat is useless! Took almost half a day to even buy a phone that’s pathetic!
