Replacement on/off Button Needed. Any ideas?

Calling OB engineers! Help a little old lady please :)
I have a torch as in link (below) that has lost the on/off button. I can poke something in the hole to turn it on/off but I would rather something more permanent…any ideas?

usually made as part of the device, easier to buy a replacement one - throw away society

Do you have any spare rubber feet from flat packs or any old devices you don't use like DVD players?

Keep the switch in the on position and twist the battery cover until it loses contact to switch it off. Twist it back to switch the torch on again.

EDIT: oh, it's powered by USB

    • that is not a bad idea…thanks

Is a blob of hot glue flexible enough?

    • Probably this! Remember to put some tape on the button beforehand to stop the hot glue/silicone sticking to the button.

Whittle down some cork, place it in button hole, secure with rubber band or gaffa tape ;)

    Any ideas?

    1. Return to SCA for a replacement under warranty
    2. Throw it out and buy a proper quality torch
  • Superglue extender on button.

  • Find something rubber, cut it to size, jam it in the hole. Put tape or something over it to hold it in if it keeps falling out.

  • Try asking a friend if they can 3d-print the missing bit for you.

It will cost more than buying a new torch for $10
