I believe the cheapest it has ever been, plus if you you order before the end of the month you will get a bonus cook4me spare bowl, which they usually sell for $99.

  • same price on Amazon.
but Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months message

    • I belive this one is a different, cheaper model, cook4me+, not cook4me+connect… basically cook4me+ doesn't support wireless connection to your phone or tablet…

  • +1

It is a good cooker but it only pressure cooks, best part is that it releases the pressure by itself. I sold mine to get the Phillips aio which bakes, slow and pressure cooks etc and use it way more, even great for proofing dough and it is a bit cheaper.

  • I got the original Cook4me, was a ok pressure cooker but later replaced by Instant Pot which has more features ( and lower price too)

One of the good thing about Cook4me is the automatic pressure release
instead of manually turning the release valve which is a bit scary

  • Do you guys recommend the Instant Pot or the Phillips All in One over this? I can't decide tell of the two are a better option (tried to look for comparison reviews - thinking of selling my cookforme)

    • +2

I have previously had the older version of this and prefer the Phillips which I bought to replace it.

The Phillips has more functions and works better.

      • Thanks for the feedback! Was it easy to adjust all the instant pot recipes on YouTube for the Phillips?

        • +1

I don’t recall adjusting anything different, maybe the cook time. But nothing significant.

When I bought mine, instant pot wasn’t available in Australia. But I do remember reading they have similar pressure levels. So can’t imagine cooking being too different.

Philips does have a lot of recipes online as well.

  • Can anyone who has one of the COOK4 ME + versions advise how long it takes for the pre-heating phase when they use it. We have one and it takes an absolute age to be ready and sometimes it never quite gets there.

We have only used our model 3 or 4 times as it's been underwhelming when we have. Wonder if it's actually got a fault so would be keen to understand the experience of others.

    Cheers

    • Just looking at buying one and would like to know some ozbargain feedback

    • Yeah the wait for the preheating is annoying, probably takes about 5 minutes

      • Thanks for the info. Looks like it's not just our unit then.

    • How much liquid are you heating up? The more liquid, the longer it takes. Pressure cookers usually only need 1 - 2 cups of water to cook.

      • We have just followed the recipes so whatever they tell us is what we do. The kids love it when we use it as so far it results in a dinner fail more than success and when it fails we usually end up with take out.

One positive for someone at least. 😀

        • If it takes longer than 30 mins there's definitely a problem, I used the older one and my husband will fill it to the top with liquid, I would say it takes maybe 15-20 mins to get to pressure. Try doing 2 cups plain water and see how long that takes. Maybe your cooker isn't sealed properly.

  • Ticket price 299

    Not sure which is better

    • +1

I've had the (older) Cook4me and sold it for the Phillips. A lot more functions, such as baking and slow cook. Cook4me gimmick is that it guides you with recipes but you are going to look up the recipes first anyway before turning that thing on.

      • +1

        For that Phillips? The HD2237/72

I was in store looking at them yesterday but walked out to OzBargain it first. Good to get an indication from someone who has used both.

        • +1

Yup that one. I've been on a cooking spree this month and I've been using it for baking, proofing dough, pressure cooking. If I need to fry something I'll likely do it in there as I hate mopping oily floors.

          • @MeesusEff: Does it have to be a minimum third full to use ?
Ie can it cook small meals for 1-3 people

            • +1

@1Kenobi: I dont think so? I'm a 2 adult (kids don't count) household, I cook rice just for our dinner and it's ok :) didn't think there was a minimum, as long as you put in enough liquid for it to build pressure.

  • It seems there are few models of Cook4Me CY8558(the one here). CY9128 - upgraded model with the touch screen.CY8515 - Potentially old or cutdown version. I am seeing some marketing with TEFAL COOK4ME + CONNECT SMART some without CONNECT SMART. Not sure whether there is a difference. Finally, these guys have the same for cheaper $228 it doesn't say + CONNECT SMART though and I haven't bought any from them so not sure about the seller https://www.stancash.com.au/tefal-cook4me-black-cy8518.html?…
