      • No exaggeration at all. A loud sound doesn't have to be instantaneous or physically painful to be damaging. If you are in a repeatedly prolonged situation where you feel you need to raise your voice to be heard, then the noise you are trying to overcome will likely be at a level which can cause partial noise induced hearing loss. Given this is something you'd want to use for quite prolonged periods to keep you cool, I don't find it ideal that it's noticeably louder than your average desk fan (noted it's probably not designed to be used this way anyway).

And I do limit my time with earphones and be mindful with the volume when I can. At this time, most cases of hearing loss and/or tinnitus remain irreversible.

        • My ceiling fans on speed 2 or 3 make more noise than this does lol. They're not going to give me hearing damage lol.

  • Mine arrived over the weekend (Victoria)

Worth checking Fyshwick, Rockingham, Byron Bay to see if any stock - may be at $15.00

  • Got mine delivered today :)

Not overly powerful but does the job. I've got a 5Ah battery from whipper snipper that will give this thing days of power.

  • Grabbed one from Ashfield Bunnings just now for $49! So still some fans floating around the stores
