Product details
Action meets RPG as the Pokémon series reaches a new frontier!
Game Features:

Catch, survey and research wild Pokémon to create and complete the Sinnoh region’s first Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, coming to Nintendo Switch in early 2022. Pokémon Legends: Arceus honours past Pokémon games’ core gameplay while infusing new action and RPG elements.
You’ll be brought to the Sinnoh region, the setting for Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. But this story unfolds in a long-gone era, before ideas such as being a Pokémon Trainer or having a Pokémon League even existed. All around, you’ll find Pokémon living wild in harsh environments that make for a Sinnoh unlike the region you may remember from the days of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.
To catch Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you can observe them to learn their behaviour, then carefully sneak up, aim your Poké Ball and let fly! You can also have your ally Pokémon battle wild Pokémon that you hope to catch. Just throw the Poké Ball holding your ally Pokémon near a wild Pokémon, and you’ll seamlessly enter battle and command your Pokémon by choosing from moves it knows.
As you start off on your adventure to create the region’s first Pokédex, you’ll be able to choose Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott as a partner. These three Pokémon arrived with a Pokémon Professor, who encountered them on research excursions to various regions.

      no stock in WA

It is in quarantine for 2 weeks.

    • +1

Checked with a JB staff and they said they didn't get their stock. Got mine at EB and priced matched HN

  • Damn, my Amazon copy just came today.

    Oh well, good deal!

Damn, my Amazon copy just came today.

is this normal for pre-orders? I swear Amazon hates me and always takes an extra few days before even packing to deliver (though this did save me $$$ with Cyberpunk and Grand Theft Auto Trilogy as I could cancel after the release/reviews lol)

      • They definitely used to be delayed a bit so I stopped using them for pre-orders.

But both Mario Party and Pokemon arrived on time so I assume they're back to being better now?

Especially as they have their own drivers these days they can make the release date deliveries.

      • @trustnoone are you an Amazon Prime member? I believe Prime members gets games delivered on the day of release. Normal users who choose free shipping do not.

        • +7

I'm a Prime member and have never had a game pre-order arrive on time.

          • +4

@rith: Adding my voice here, its the same, games release on fridays and everytime without fail the game takes the weekend to arrive on a Monday, a complete waste of pre-ordering to play on the opening weekend.

Big W/EB games is where my homies are at now.

        • +4

I'm also a prime member and never had a game arrive on launch day even though they usually promise to. I ended up getting this from EB, my youngest is loving it so far.

        • +4

I am a prime member too and ordered through Amazon, still waiting for them to ship it.

        • -1

My last few Amazon pre-orders shipped after release. So I stopped pre-ordering from them.

      • I got animal crossing the day before release date, now my copy of legends arceus is gonna arrive Sunday. I wanted to cancel and buy it from jb hifi yesterday and it won’t let me because its about to be shipped soon.

I did order it last Tuesday.

    • What?! I foolishly preordered with Kogan months ago and received notification the other day that they’re delayed delivery until Feb 17th! Oh well, they gave me $10 voucher.

      • +4

I think Kogan would be the last site I'd trust for pre-orders 😆

At least you got a voucher out of it, can you cancel it or anything?

        • Yeah, would not be my first choice for ANY online purchase, unless latitudepay offering $15 off. Turns out, it was dispatched today anyway?! Bonus all round. Plus it’s for the kids.

          • @bg: Oh awesome, hope it arrives soon!

          • @bg: I also stupidly ordered from kogan because I had a $20 voucher, I got the email saying that it’s delayed until 17th Feb so I cancelled and ordered from Amazon instead. I also got a $10 voucher and they said they’ll refund my voucher as $20 credit.

            • @Quackercracker: Kogan sucks always delay items

              • @ce5himm: First and last time I pre order from them

                • @Quackercracker: Same, I never ordered again from them again after they banged up my Metroid Prime Amiibo.

They didnt even put it in a box and just wacked it into a loose parcel bag.

    • I'm a prime member and my copy hasnt even been shipped yet

    • Amazon prime member, Sydney metro. Pre-ordered and got it on release date. My children are loving the game so-far, so much so I haven't gotten to play it!

    I love pokeman arseus

    • +1

I refuse to believe the marketing material calling it "arkeus".

      • +2

I use only the most official material as my source of pronunciations.

        • +1

Thank you for this, I will ignore Nintendo's fake news from now on.

      • It actually is pronounced ar-say-us in Japanese, they changed the pronunciation in English because of arse

Have you discovered the Back Door yet?

  • Can you use a gift card and get cash back? Says 'maybe' in conditions

    • Offer is over now , ends 1pm (AEDT)

    • Maybe too late. At least for next time. No. Both cr and SB don't offer cashback when gift card is used at bigw.

      • Kinda dodgy that they list it as 'You may not be eligible for Cashback' rather than you won't be

      • Paid with gift card and it was tracked interestingly

        • sometime it's tracked, but not approved in the end. you will have to wait to see.
if it works, then we may need to check with both CR and SB rep here, why they are misleading us.

  • Thank you just made it before the 15% offer ended. Ended at 1pm AEDT

  • Almost pull the trigger, and realised I have heaps of JB gift card. Turns out cheaper.

It's possible, I got 2 Fifa 21 xbone for $5 each and Assassins Creed Valhalla PS5 for $9.

The 2 Fifa's made it for the two eligible games and Valhalla has a base value of $29, Plus my level 4 I had another $5 credit to spend.

        • FIFA 21 is eligible? Going to grab 2 from target then

        • Ooooh… that's a good hack.

        • +2

Awesome, thanks for the tip. Got 1 for $39 total (2xFifa + $29)

          • @MrFCBargain: I have bought the two fifa copies just have to wait until Tuesday to do the trade in, hopefully by then the trade value won’t have dropped

        • is there an easy way of finding the value of eb trade ins? Saw NBA 2K21 also $5 at Target.

What i recommend for Pokemon new releases and there is a steel book pre order it.

You can usually sell the steel book for good money to recoup for the game.

I just saw an Arceus steel book get sold on eBay for $100 already as it was very limited pre order bonus offer.

        • 100? Local marketplace has $25 since this morning and is still there

          • @ce5himm: People always pay more on eBay for some reason.

But im not the one that bought it so beats me.

The Diamond/Pearl remakes had a steel book case I've seen go for $20-30 in the marketplace has also had many sold listings on eBay from $40-80.

However at the end of the day its not how much you make but pointing out you can recoup costs towards the game as a form of a discount or even for free if you are lucky to get a good amount for it.

            • @SpeedRunnerLink: Thinking should I buy the 25 and lost 80 on eBay?LOL

              • @ce5himm: You could. Check on eBay now, theyre pretty much going for that amount.

I'm keeping mine as I collect steel books.

  • Ordered at 9am this morning. It says order before 12 for same day pick up.
But still Waiting for click and collect confirmation. Can I just show up and see if I’m able to pick up? Anyone also ordered from Vic Doncaster?

    • yeah if they have stock but normally something like this they don't have stock bigw just cancel your order without any notice. that's the reason I don't like BigW

      • Just called and was told there’s a 48 hour delay for all click and collect item😡 but if it’s in stock then can just go in and pick it up

        • I am in exactly the same boat. Funny how they advertised on the front website saying SAME day pick up. lol

      • I haven't seen many Big W's in WA have release day stock listed on the website. Probably will pop up sometime next week

        • Seems to be stock issues in WA, someone told me the JB they pre-ordered at didn't get stock yet.

  • may be a bit early seeing as release is today but how's everyone's first impressions

    • So far so good. Glad they're trying something new. I'm having a lot of fun. Other reviews seem to be positive as well.

  • +1

Not sure this is worth a post - same price at Target, JB Hifi & Catch, $68 from The Gamesmen & Harvey Norman, $67 from MightyApe as well as the above posted trade in hacks for EB.

Or am I late to the party with the point of this deal being via the cashback?

    • Yes point is cashback. But if you have 15% JB card. It's still cheaper

If you are not in hurry, soon you will see these sell at marketplace/gumtree for $50.

      • +2

I get a lot of my Switch games for the magic $50 mark second-hand soon after release, but the only exception is Pokemon. Second-hand prices tend to hover at at least $55-65 for a long time. Recommend going in Day-1 if you're a fan.

        • I'd give up the game if you can't get most brand new games around the $50 mark with all the codes and stackings going on :)

          • @popsiee: I don't get eBay vouchers for private listings too often. But when I do rarely with eBay Plus I'll jump at the opportunity for a second hand Switch game for $40-45

        • Just come to report I saw the first copy [email protected] appears on my local marketplace today.

  • Great game, don't think I can go back to the old style after playing this! Just wish GameFreak can optimise their games better for the Switch!

    • +1

      Game is fun.
But going from 120fps on Series X to 30fps on Switch is brutal.

      • +4

You'll adjust over time. Our brains are good at that. Otherwise you'd never be able to watch a film ever again. I've heard people (PC gamers) claim they can't watch movies any more due to the low frame rate and I honestly feel sad for them.

  • Im glad i was able to get the preorder bonus from Gamesmen on Sunday, they took the offer off the day after. JB had finished theirs on Friday! The steelbook itself sells quite well on ebay.

  • +1

Just got an email with a $30 off voucher from Catch when spending $60+, made it $45.95 including delivery. Good timing, I think.

    • Haha nice I got the same offer today winning 🏆

      • what was the subject line in the email? I have so many emails not sure I can find it

        • +1

          $30 voucher inside…💌

  • In case anyone wondering, the hyped multiplayer came out to nothing. It's Single Player only with multiplayer only for trading.

  • +1

i was excited for this, but then read the reviews that this game isn't very good. i'm going to wait until it goes on sale.

    • +6

You must be nitpicking tremendously. This is so far the best-received Pokémon game in about a decade

      • really?
all the major gaming reviews says other wise. maybe its good, but doesn't match the hype it was receiving.
i wanted to get it since i just got the oled switch, but i'm going to hold off.

        • +2

What major review you read? Metacritic has it 86 which is an avg of most review sites. 86 is pretty good

        • +1

What I heard from people actually play it is half and half.

        • +1

          Nintendo Life - 90
          Game Informer - 88
          GameSpot - 80
          Press Start Australia - 80
          IGN - 7/10

          Over all, pretty decent reviews.

          • @cnut: Its a really good game.

I couldnt get into BD / SP but this i can't stop playing.

Once you are able to get Wyrdeer it opens up travelling so much more easily.

    • Isn't the current metacritic rating at an 86? That would indicate reviews are saying it's great…

  • -1

Already played it 8 days before release. Good game!

    • How?

      • Sailing the seven seas of the internet I'm assuming

        • -1

not really - have an old switch and can sideload games

          • +2

@salmanasm: That would involve pirating it, which is what he was suggesting.
