Hi folks, as suspected the 10700F 3080 12GB deal sold through over the weekend, but we have confirmed stock both on hand and in-bound for these 3080 10GB deals. There were plenty of calls for a 5600X version of the 3080 12GB version but those cards have sold through and are not in the next batch, so I have created a 5600X 10GB version. There is a relatively wide price gap between the 10400F and 5600X versions based purely on the CPU price, so unless you've got a direct line to Lisa to share, there's not much I can do about their pricing at present.

Intel Core i5 10400F | RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PC: $2288 after 10400F-3080-FEB

  • Intel Core i5 10400F processor (i7 10700F upgrade available)
  • RTX 3080 10GB LHR graphics card (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte B560M DS3H motherboard (various upgrades available)
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (brand/model may vary)
  • 500GB NVMe m.2 SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • 750W Gold PSU (Giga and MSI on hand, specify preference on order if you like)
  • MSI MAG Forge 100R case

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PC: $2488 after 5600X-3080-FEB

  • AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor (limited 5800X upgrades available which will require minimum 120mm AIO upgrade)
  • RTX 3080 10GB LHR graphics card (brand/model may vary)
  • Gigabyte B550M DS3H motherboard (various upgrades available)
  • 16GB 3200MHz RAM (brand/model may vary)
  • 500GB NVMe m.2 SSD (brand/model may vary)
  • 750W Gold PSU (Giga and MSI on hand, specify preference on order if you like)
  • MSI MAG Forge 100R case

Build Update All outstanding 3080 January systems are being finalised today/tomorrow, plus the 3070 Ti Feb and 3080 12GB orders are all in build this week.

Cheers
Luke

Plus one for the little table you created! :P

      • -3

        Generated?

        • I'm not from the Data Base field but pretty sure they create tables and generated queries/results :P

      • +2

Credit to PCPP but I’ll take it!

  • +6

nice to see pc cost starting to come back to pre-covid prices.

    • Not saying that deal is still available, but isn’t the same build cheaper during Boxing Day?

      • +1

Boxing day deal for the 5600x was cheaper yeah

  • Wondering which one is better? 10700f + RTX 3080 12GB or 5600X + RTX 3080 10GB?

    • +3

      The later.

    • -1

Would definitely go with the Intel bundle all things considered.

    • +2

      The 5600x.

    • -1

      The 10700f bundle

    • For max FPS the 5600X gives you more.. its up there with the 12th gen 12600k so no.. intel 10th gen is not an option here unless you wanted slower while using more power to be slower.. full stop. No idea why people give wrong advice.

      • +1

I have ordered the previous deal posted by Luke and it is impossible to cancel now. My monitor is 1440p @60hz so 10700f does not bother me since it will surely be above
        60fps.

        • 10700f is a good CPU… its just not as good as others but when AMD Zen4 and Intel Raptor lake 13th gen CPU's come out this year all other CPU's will be slow compared.. it never ends :) Tech's always improving

Your 10700f is better then my 3700X but i got that a long time ago 2k and 4k gaming is stressing the GPU more then CPU yes

    • Intel gen 10 kinda hot tbh. It would be better if they pair this with 12100f or 12400f tbh

      • Unfortunately Techfast does not have the option of 12th gen at the moment otherwise I would jump on that.

        • Then just skip or jump to AMD Gen4, better value 👌

          • @bebi1506: Would try to flip the system except GPU if I can, otherwise happy to keep it. Cannot go wrong with a $400-500 10th gen i7 rig without GPU. i5 12400f + decent B660 board is more than that at the moment.

            • @BennyHe2018: An average B660 board with DDR4 is like ~250 ish + 12400f (290) is still like a decent value. We can later jump to DDR5 with a new board but thats like 2 to 3 years from now, until things become a lil bit better. So yeah, i wouldnt touch Intel gen 10 (even if its I7) with like $30 less cuz that's just mehh

              • @bebi1506: Agree with you on the future upgradability of 12th Gen Intel. It is beneficial to users who need strong CPU performance or higher fps at 1080p. For 1440p or higher resolution, it is GPU bounded so 10700f should be enough to avoid bottleneck.

Get the MSI power supplied one

    • +4

Why? I thought it was normal to get a potentially exploding/DOA power supply with an RTX series GPU?

      • +2

I suppose it's a bit of danger and excitement to inset into your otherwise vanilla day.

      • They dont explode anymore please go read/watch what they fixed.

        • I know. But I'm personally not going for that series. Just bad vibes galore.

  • +1

What is the brand of GPU this time?

    Thanks.

    • Probs gainward

  • What model of SSD? exactly Kingston KC2500?

    • It will vary. That is the lowest priced model on PCPP

  • Hi Luke, re warranty, are buyers able to change the cooler without voiding warranty? e.g. to reuse an existing high end air cooler etc.

    • +5

Yes, with the standard proviso that modifications not made by us that, in the event of a warranty claim, are found to be the cause of or contributing to the issue, may have an impact on the warranty. Ie if you attempt it and bork it, it might not be covered

      • Thanks mate, yep makes common sense.

  • This is bargain price, you get the rest of the system for just $300, considering 3080 still selling near $2k.

  • Great deal! Bit overkill for what I need but would love to see a similar bundle on a 3060/3060ti/3070

    • Yes pls 3060ti deal, similar to the one on Boxing Day :)

  • Worth $149 extra for 5800X?

I mainly gaming however could do some light streaming and editing in the future.

    • +1

+$99 minimum for AIO upgrade which they say is required for purchase.

      • Im gonna get the 240 AIO anyway because of hotroom.

Fried my old pc on one hot summer day.

    • +1

Keep in mind the 5800X tends to run hotter than even the 5900X and 5950X

  • Good to see TF being so aggressive pushing out nice cheap prebuilts continuously, other stores really need to work harder to catchup!

  • What is the possibility of getting this before end of February if I put the order in today?

    • +2

      Buckley's and none

    • Feb 2023? for sure!!

    • Pretty good actually - if it doesn't go into build this week, it will next, leaving a few days for transit. Shorter month of course but will be very close.

      • Mine shipped 11th Feb and estimated 22-24th Feb arrival in Perth

  • +2

Also TF got a choice to switch over to Wifi Mobo + preinstalled unactivated windows is big big plus compare to BPC

    • Agree, but TF charges more than double for delivery comparing with BPC.

  • Good experience buying from techfast in an earlier deal for the 3060ti build, would recommend.

    • Same with 3070ti. Just had to wait a few weeks to get the graphics cards in stock and shipped.

  • I bought this exact deal of TF in NOV 2020 for same money and its been bloody great and fast! Took 3 weeks to arrive but that was more than a year ago. Great deal imo.

  • Shame my 3070ti 5600x order shipped wouldve cancelled for this.

  • +2

Had a bad experience with techfast. Ordered arrived but only to found out the gpu connected to the motherboard pin was heavily bent/damage(still half connected) . Returned the package and asked for a different gpu model but upon arrival, same gpu was given. Don’t know if I’ll ever consider techfast again.

    • That is related to transit damage, which is fully covered under our warranty at no cost, and often down to handling by an individual courier or postal worker on a specific route, over which we have no control, not the card model itself. For the model, it would be either an immediate replacement from on hand stock, or a wait an indeterminate and inestimable amount of time for another model to perhaps become available. As inconvenient as transit damage is, I’m not sure there is any more we could do in this scenario.

      • +5

Was told by you that there’s 2 model available on hand stock but at arrival I was given the same one … then you said the picker didn’t read the change of gpu model as requested… It’s done now and it is what it is… just wanted to share my experience that’s all.

        • -4

Ah yes, I recall this one. Human error indeed at the time, around 3 weeks ago.

  • which one is good for photoshop?

    • 5600x is faster at photoshop.. you would need a 12th gen if you wanted better

  • What would be the best way to get this delivered? Would seperating the GPU have any benefits or is it just best the have the GPU delivered within the PC?

Also if you were the order the seperate GPU will the original box of the GPU be given aswell?

  • Pick up ok? my wife works at Beverley..

    • Not at this stage - we're an assembly facility not retail store so aren't setup for COVID protocols. If we get a customer in with covid it can have shut-down consequences on our entire business.

  • Hey Luke, just checking on my order, Order number is TF4765022631. Any chance I will get it before Elden ring releases?
Also I was reading the comment above and was wondering if you could wrap the gpu into the packing so it doesn't damage the pins or motherboard? idk if its an option just wanted to ask.

    • There's an option on the checkout page, just tick the box and the GPU is sent separately

      • Oh thank you. idk if I can do that can I already purchased it.

    • It's in build now so should be shipping this week. Might make it to Qld by the 25th, but will depend on post. We will contact you about shipping the GPU separately which is highly recommended for this card.

  • -1

Great post, please put LHR on the title as it will help people that are looking for exclusively non-LHR GPU 🤟

  • -1

Techfast and Luke are the real MVPs.

  • Hi Luke,
Is there additional cost for sending the GPU separately from the PC? does that come with its own box?
I finally joined the PC master race ^_^.

    • No cost - just an option at checkout and it will either come in the retail packaging if we receive it in retail packaging, or a secure protective box if we receive them bulk/single packaged as happens occasionally.

  • Thinking of pulling the trigger on this. Have been itching for an upgrade for a while. Hoping for some input as I'm a bit out of the loop these days.

Use case is 3440x1440 ultrawide. Casual gaming that probably doesn't warrant a high end rig but certainly keen to test on some newer titles. I believe a 3080 is a good match for this resolution.

Thinking of going with the 10400 with upgrade to 120mm AIO cooler, 1gb NVME SSD and 32gb ram. Is AIO cooler necessary (I've never had liquid cooling so unsure if that is over the top)? Keen to have more space on the SSD and assume NVME is faster? Thought it worth upgrading the RAM to future proof.

    Does this all sound reasonable?

    • +1

10400f should be fine on 1440p. A tower air cooler like Deepcool Gammaxx 400 should be enough. 1TB SSD should be fine. 16 GB RAM should be enough for now and you can always upgrade another 16GB later.

      • +1

Made the purchase based on your input. Thanks heaps!

  • Hi Luke

If the GPU is shipped separately will it arrive at the same time as the rest of the PC ?

  • Hi Folks
Wondering the b550 without wifi on board. Is it possible if i buy the wifi bluetooth card and install ?

I hate the bluetooth usb cuzz i bought it before and seems not working well with my keyboards and mouse

Im designer and use for AI AND PHOTOSHOP, just light gaming ( COD, PES…

    THANKS GUYS

    • Yes you can as long as you got the spare PCI slot to install. However, since the RTX 3080 is more than 2 slots thick, the spare PCI E may be block for MATX board. It is better to pick up a AC board or ATX board.

  • Is this pc overkill for casual gaming? Mainly mmorpg, like Lost Ark or FF14. If so, any other recommendations?

    • Always get the DELL deals

      • +2

lol get the disgusting aurora alienware. All jokes aside, I'd say yes if you are mainly playing MMORPG games. If you want to pull the trigger from Techfast, you can wait for their 3060ti or 3060 deals depending on the cost difference.

        • Cheers!

The cat formerly known as Bongo is our number 1 fan. Check his post history. Loves us. Can't get enough of commenting on every deal we post, discouraging people from buying from us. Feels it. Thrives on it. Lives for it.

    • PLENTY for FFXIV and I mean on Maximum settings at 1080p and these pc's will break hardly a sweat. I quit playing after finishing MSQ Endwalker because I wanted to move on from FFXIV and focus more on other things.

      • Good for you. I still haven't finished Shadowbringer. Bought the Endwalker Expansion already though….
I ended my subscription in January. Will probably get back later this year.

  • @luketechfast unfortunately bongo in the penalty box for the next month :( you will need to find a new fan

    • That’s thanks to me - he wrote a totally prickish comment about COVID I reported.

  • @luketechfast How fast can you guys ship this to Melbourne please if I order today/tomorrow?
    AMD Ryzen 5 5600X RTX 3080 10GB Gaming PC(techfast.com.au): $2488 after 5600X-3080-FEB

    Thanks in advance

    • These will be built with cards that are arriving early next week. We don't really work on how fast, we just work through orders as we receive them. When the cards come in it will be a few days working through the orders.

      • Thank you for the prompt response. It's greatly appreciated.

  • I received my 5600X build yesterday. One thing that I wish I knew would be to request Techfast to just plug in all the extra power cables for SATA hard drives into the PSU.
I looked at it and I just couldn't be bothered undoing the cables to pull out the PSU from this MSI case.

Apart from that, the PC arrived just fine. No damage to the case and the components inside. GPU sent separately and it's running fine. (got Gigabyte one FYI).
Will register to get that extra year warranty for the GPU from Gigabyte soon.

  • Hi @luketechfast

I received the order just a few hours ago, took off all the protection in the build and gave it a run.

I managed to go through the Windows set up and all but for some reason, the PC keeps randomly shutting down by itself.

Happened twice now so I haven't turned it on again in case I break something, but I really have no clue what the issue could be as I don't really know much about PC components.

Below is the description for my order

    AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Processor
    120mm All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler
MSI MAG Forge 100R [ATX] Case
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR Graphics Card
    Gigabyte B550M DS3H [M-ATX] Motherboard
    32GB [3200MHz] DDR4 RAM (2 x 16GB Modules)
1TB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive
Additional 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive
750W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply

Can you please look into this for me? or anyone know what I could try to fix the issue?

    • I can't really do technical troubleshooting like this on a forum - please email [email protected] with the information and the team will assist you as soon as possible.

  • I opted for the Standard Fan CPU Cooler. They say [Minimum 120mm Liquid Cooler Upgrade Recommended For Gaming Use], will the rig overheat if I don't use the liquid cooler?
