I've been looking for one of these on sale for 5 years now. Very impressed with the one I had back then.

I'm pretty sure I got a double pack for this price last year?

Don't like the myers sale fool you, this is no deal.

    • I think this one is more advance than double pac version. But I agreed with u. It’s not a good deal. I got one which is dead right after two years. I feel like it’s not worth the money

  • For the DiamondClean? I know Costco do the double pack for $420, but that comes with only 1 charger I believe.

I know it's hard to judge a new product based on an older model, but if you think that is relatively reliable, and you like anecdotal reviews, read mine:

Bought three of the then current model from an Amazon UK deal for like $160 each with the travel case. These were received around January 2017.

Keep in mind not one of these was dropped from a height onto a hard surface or something like that, just the odd time knocked over into the sink.

One, after about a year and a half, was replaced by Philips under warranty. Reason being it was vibrating/cleaning at a greatly reduced strength, and was making a louder noise than was usual during operation. The replacement lasted about eighteen months before the same thing happened. No longer covered by warranty, replacement refused.
Another one had a similar reduced strength of cleaning after about two and a half years. Philips flat out refused to replace it, as it was out of their warranty period of two years.
The third one just recently completely died. Working fine for a little over five years, and then suddenly it won't power on and won't charge. Five years is a good life span for this I think, and I've read reviews of people having previous versions for seven years.

Overall, that's not a great track record in my opinion, and I don't recommend people buy these super-expensive diamond clean models based on my experience.
I bought an Oclean for $80ish in the middle of last year, and I've found a similar cleaning experience to the Diamondclean. The brush heads for the Oclean aren't far off the price for the Philips Diamondclean brush heads, but the entry cost is significantly lower. Lets see what the longevity is like.

    • This is my experience exactly. Loved the Phillips to start with. Then all of a sudden lost a bit of oomph. I’ve read it’s a slipped oart and an easy fix. Regardless bought an oclean - cheaper and feels like a very similar clean. Happy

    • I own 2 of this, first one refuse to power on outside warranty, probably to do with the wear and tear on the button. the 2nd one i got now is outside warranty, touch wood it's still working.

But I have the charging cup thing died 2 times. first time within warranty, 2nd time isn't, lucky it isn't too expensive to get replacement.

  • I got one of these Xiaomi ones about a year ago on special for $25.31 (free shipping too) and it's been just fine. Battery lasts for many weeks. Current shipping cost kills it but keep en eye out for another deal.

    • I just rub bicarb on my teeth with my fingers and it's been just fine. Bicarb lasts many months.

      • Oooo, sonic bicarb sounds great!

        • Just you wait, once Ozbargain catches on everyone here will be doing it.
