I think the S2722QC is a better monitor overall and about $30 cheaper
    https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/dell-s2721dgf-v…

    • Was thinking the same thing but the upvotes and comments begs to differ. Dell S2721DGF advantage is the refresh rate. Can someone explain why I should buy into this too? 🤔

      • +7

The Dell S2721DGF and the Dell S2722QC are different types of monitors. The S2722QC is designed for productivity as it has a 4k screen and has more office features like a USB-C input and Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes, meaning you can connect two devices. The S2721DGF is designed for gaming as it has a much higher 165Hz refresh rate, and it has much quicker response times too. The S2721DGF also has a local dimming feature, which the S2722QC doesn't have, but it performs terribly.

        • If i have the SGF as my main monitor but wanted to get a secondary monitor for work purposes (typical office work - excel/ppt) would you recommend the s2722QC? I've been considering it but can't decide if the change in resolution would be problematic using them together.

          • @Lufiwara: You'd really have to compare the two side by side, but it sounds like it would be stressful on the eyes having 2 monitors the same size next to each other with different resolution

            • @[Deactivated]: Yeah that was my concern :/ just feels bad to get the s2722dc with only a $30 difference

              • @Lufiwara: The s2722qc usually sells for $369 when it's on sale (I bought this one recently). Not sure what's the difference between the s2722dc vs s2722qc

Any suggestions for a monitor at 2k, 60 to 144hz, with actual decent HDR around $500? Most do the bare minimum to pass HDR cert.

  • Thinking about trying my luck to get one of these today, was originally going to buy 2x M27Q's.
Any opinions? It will mostly be for productivity but I'm planning on building a new gaming PC in the coming months.

  • Hey guys,
So just to confirm at 6pm, when i enter the code D20ELL, price should drop to $419?
And i guess for the rest of you, you'd have to do it at 7pm, right :D

Purchased this in late 2021. Couldn't be happier with what I got.

If you're in the market for an excellent QHD high refresh screen with pretty well received customer support, jump on it.

  • Purchased 2 of these in late 2021 to use either side of my AW3418DW
    Productivity has never been higher.

  • +1

Is higher refresh rate good for gaming only ?

    • +1

      yes

    • +2

Good for scrolling through docs too, but yeah main bonus is gaming.

    • +1

Even just PC general use, if feels faster and much smoother. Personally I can't go back to 60hz

You've exceeded the number of requests allowed in one day. Please try again tomorrow

Anyone else/ or can I get some help?

    • It's a glitch that sometimes happens even if you don't refresh using F5 repeatedly. Try another browser.

    • Delete all saved cookies for the eBay domains and then refresh. Could also open a private browsing window.

  • Can anyone recommend a monitor stand for this monitor? It will be my second one and want to mount both to save desk space

  • Thanks. Bought two :)

  • +1

Couldn't get the coupon applied, 200 units reached?

  • +1

And the quarterback is toast - 200 units in 20 minutes.

  • +1

Got two, thanks. The 200 units sold quick!

  • Congratulations to everyone! I was tempted but forgot about the sale! Not sure if my table fits 2 of these but I wanted 1 extra anyway, haha.

    • Is $30 off that big of a sale? Surely better deals if you wait. Although if you already have one of this model it’s always good to get a matching one for the second screen.

      • +2

From OP in this thread it sounds like inflation has caught up to Dell and they're increasing prices from next month

  • Did anybody get a sceenshot of the advertised price for price protection by any chance?

    • It doesnt sound like it's ever going to be lower than $419 again so why would you need price protection?

      • I had bought it previously, not this time around

  • I still got one for $469 they have limited stock. I used this with 20% off dell ebay deal. Delivery around end of May.

    • Did you manage to get one today? I missed out and trying the next best deal which is that one but been showing OOS when I checked throughout the day.

  • +1

    Got shipping notification today

  • STARTRACK - This delivery doesn't require a signature. It will be left, if it's safe to do so.

  • Mine has been processed in QLD after being processed in NSW, but the delivery address is in NSW…

  • Just got mine delivered. 5 stuck pixels in a group of three and two. Not replaceable according to dell - need six stuck pixels.
Tried stuck pixel buddy app - didn't work.
Nothing to lose so tried the old apply gentle pressure with some packing foam…all good zero dead pixels now.
    Can't talk gaming…

  • any idea when this deal is coming again ?

  • Has anyone gotten an update on there order in VIC? I still haven’t heard anything from dell.

    • +1

Got mine last week on Thursday. Inner suburbs melb

  • Has anyone had an issue with this monitor where there is a horizontal thin blue line that is permanently on screen? If so, any idea whether it is fixable or whether I should contact Dell for warranty replacement?

    • +1

Any stuck bright pixels are covered by the 3 Year Premium Panel with Advanced Exchange Service for this monitor. Contact Dell to organize a replacement.

    • +1

Probably an issue with the display cable or a fault in the display. Not something you would bother fixing yourself, just log for RMA.

    • +1

Same issue here, except its a vertical red line instead. Spoke to support and organised a replacement fairly quickly

    • Received a response from Dell telling me that there aren't any new monitors available for replacement

      • Don't believe it. They continue to sell new product. Refund time to call their bluff.

        • I got a new monitor even though they said there weren't any in stock. My guess is that the overseas support team isnt fully in tune with stock numbers.
