These used to be a weekly purchase at my place @ $5 a box in woolies. They recently jumped 40% up to $7.00 a box. I've refused to purchase since then. Looks like uncle got the message and reduced them for me.

I'm annoyed though, I purchased 3 boxes on amazon a few days ago when they dropped to $4.55. Now $1.05 cheaper! It already shipped, so can't cancel.

So enjoy. or don't.. I don't care ;)

Update:
Looks sold out. As mentioned below, can grab at Woolworths : https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/search/products?searchTer…

  • Bargain - awesome cereal for kids imo - wish they still made the ow sugar version :(

    • I liked the low sugar version too. Have kept buying these as they are not too bad compared to a lot of other cereals out there.

      • They have low sugar vanilla flavoured ones at Woolworths.. They're pretty good ($3.50 box until tomorrow).

        • Tried the vanilla. Thought I had covid - absolutely no flavour. Great for the kids.

    thanks, bought 2 only $3.15 with S&S,

been pretty annoyed at the price jump from Woolies/coles as well.

    • Yeah however to be fair Colesworth, Amazon also had the price at $7 and judging below comment they are merely matching Woolies.

I'm here to hand my OzBargain Card in. I told myself it's worth 35c to not bother with Subscribe and Save. As soon as I pressed order the shame washed over me

same here :), I did FOMO in to my own deal too. I just ordered another 2 boxes. DCA'ing my 5 box total down to $3.89. don't judge me people!

How did you manage 10% ?
          I thought 5% was good 😅

            @xeion: $30 with $3 bonus cashback

            • @sween64: Ah thanks, I managed to get one of those. Which didn't last long :P

Honey variant is also the same price in the listing

  • Box of each. Thanks

Seems like a lot of nestle stuff has risen in price dramatically. This, also maggi cup noodles, now $2.50 each.

My kids like both these products and it's always a bitter pill for me when I see them drop them in the trolley, but this price rise has created a great, not so much pretext, but just another reason to convince them to try an alternative. And they have.

If you have issues with nestle here's another chance to let them go.

  • Got 2 of each

Thanks so much for this, always great to know why Amazon is really dropping prices plus let's me get a couple more boxes :-)

  • My first son has been eating this every morning since he was a baby. Loves it!

  • My sons love cheerios, either with milk or dry
Thank you for posting, I have set up a subscription.
It was one of my favourites when I was younger and it makes me happy to see many others love them too

    • +2

The subscription doesn't lock in the price, in case you weren't aware.

  • Vanilla Cheerios are the replacement for low sugar, probably. They are 4.5* 4% sugar

    • I was tempted.. but smaller box, higher cost, less stuff. They think I was born yesterday!

      • Ah, I didn't notice vanilla was 510g box. Thanks.

      • my kids don't like it, won't eat it anymore. Wouldn't finish 1 box.

i think it's ok but don't really eat cereal

This stuff is awful, doesn't compare with the American Cheerios at all.

    • We are in Australia.

Don't eat this rubbish for breakfast if you care about your health

    • What do you eat mate?

      • +1

Usually mixed frozen berries from supermarket (blueberries, raspberries and strawberries) with plain Greek yoghurt. Sometimes I'll make a smoothie with 1 banana, cup of blueberries, skim milk and protein powder. And a handful of mixed nuts

        • Sounds delicious but their ain't no way I'm making that at 4AM when I have breakfast before work!

          • @dreamstation: Cup of frozen berries from the bag with 2-3 tablespoons of yoghurt on top is quick mate, give it a try

            • @[Deactivated]: Berries and yoghurt? Couldn't handle that every day, sorry….

              • @JuryWheel: If I got time I'll fry 2 eggs with bacon on turkish bread toast.. tbh I don't usually eat breakfast, just have a coffee and sometimes an apple or banana

                • +1

@[Deactivated]: So you're calling this a rubbish breakfast when you normally don't even eat breakfast/just have a coffee….?

                  • @JuryWheel: you have to admit it's better than eating this

    • You make homemade health bars from them

  • +2

Both flavours showing as temporarily OOS.

Will have to drop by Woolies tomorrow and get some. Haven’t bought any since the standard price went up to $7
