Has anyone else gotten emails from them asking to verify your account within the last week?
Can we see your e-mail? obviously cutting out any personal information..
phishing? certainly don't click on any links in the email
If anyone wants it…
It's about some breaches or something. Something about multiple accounts…
None of us would do that.
Dear COKE UNLEASHED Member,
We kindly request that you provide a scanned copy of your photograph ID, in accordance with clauses 61, 68 of the COKE UNLEASHED Program Terms and Conditions, in order to verify your account details as a suspected breach of Terms and Conditions has been brought to our attention. Please send the copy via return e-mail within 7 days. If you fail to reply with the requested identification within 7 days, ‘Coca-Cola’ reserves the right, in accordance with clauses 9, 13, 14 and 15 of the COKE UNLEASHED Terms and Conditions, to cancel your membership of the program.
If you wish to discuss this further, please call us on 1800 006 552 and ask for the Senior COKE UNLEASHED Team Member.
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this request.
lol, no chance in hell i'd be sending my id.
Just tell them if they want to lose a long term customer they should cancel your membership.
Out of curiosity, have you got a huge number of points? do you work for a catering company/cafe or something and just pick off the labels before binning them?
Dear COKE UNLEASHED,
In order to verify your identity prior to sending you my information, please have the Senior COKE UNLEASHED Team Member provide a scanned copy of their photograph ID within 7 days.
If you fail to reply with the requested information 7 days, i will fax you a copy of my bare arse and/or balls from a different fax number every week for a year.
COKE UNLEASHED MEMBER.
The 1800 number is legit thought… a quick google returns it in the T&C's page as the first result. The clauses mentioned also check out.
I'd ring a number on the coke unleashed site and get redirected to check and confirm or work out something before sending them a copy of your ID.
footywiz did you claim a substantial prize or something?
nah neither of the above, have quite a lot of points, but considering the quality of prizes now on offer might aswell let them cancel it rather than giving id.
i don't understand - what harm is there in giving them a copy of your id? it'd be prudent to confirm with the coke 1800 number that the request is legit though.
technically identity theft. Also, i'd rather coke not have all my personal details.
