    • Belong is $15/3gb ongoing. That's $165 for 11months and 33gb of data.
      Belong used to be great at $10 a month + referral. Not anymore. I just took the bait of amaysim $60, no brainer.

      • So no more referrals and can't switch to the $10 plan? What's the best way to port in to the $80 sim these days then?

    • I recently dumped Belong, they where great with with call/data quality and referral $20 credit, I was right near the max for referral credit when they sms'd me of a price increase to $15/monthly so I left, jumped onto SouthernPhone at $5 for first 3mnths($5ea month), snapped up this Amaysim deal and moving on from SouthernPhone.

  • No luck for me as an existing customer. I tried live chat and Alanna from the Amaysim basically just said this promotion is only for new customer, no other promotion available for existing customer.

  • I am currently on Amaysim. If i need to port out to a let say $2 Kogan sim and port it back. Do i need to enter the port in number when ordering and paying for the sim now or i could do it by the time of activation (by 31 May 2022). I may not make it to port to another network by 18 May 2022.

    • Someone in this thread said that you can change the number when you activate but might be best to ask live chat if this is possible before buying it. Not sure though if this would invalidate cashback.

    Great deal but getting sick of these ‘must be activated by xx’ crap. Should be able to just buy one and use it when current plan runs out. End of this month activate is just annoying for most people

  • Any VoLTE or vowifi support for amaysim?As optus is moving more 3g 2100hz to 5g. No volte will affect the call. Also any esim support?

    • Optus needs to do something, or the MVNO call quality will be bad as more 3G bandwidth is allocated to 5G. I don't understand why calls are on the 3G network. Vodafone doesn't do that with its MVNOs.

      • Seems like a common problem for MVNOs except for some. Also, Telstra MVNOs except for Boost also do not have volte and vowifi access and Telstra will close 3g in 2024. Many new towers do not have 3g nowadays.

    The best thing about Amaysim is the ability to choose your own number by entering up to 5 digits

    I entered my birthdate and got a good number with the last 5 numbers my birthday

    You can then take the number to a better provider if Amaysim is poor for you

        Scammers would need to guess the 3 digits after 04

        Not hard for scammers to get your number anyway

  • I'm trying to transfer my number to the new Amaysim esim. the transfer my number page spins spins then keeps going back to get started page. Tried the web, tried the app all the same. Anybody successfully transferred their number from normal sim to Amaysim esim?

    I'm trying to transfer from Optus to Amaysim, I wonder if that's the issue???

    What happens if you activate after May 31? The promotion is the half price which is paid upfront! Is Amaysim going to deduct the other half or?

    • You're just running the risk but 99% chance is its not gonna make any difference as not many plans change for years

          The Amaysim deal says it can be with a SIM card from any store but the Cashback deal says it must be the delivered SIM

    • I have received a pending $17.50 from Raiz rewards for purchasing one of these sims, however the page states it should be a $35 for the 165gb plan which I purchased.

    I'm with amaysim and want to keep my number. Can i port out to telstra for example then back to amaysim like the next day.
    Or do you have to be with a different carrier for 30days before porting back to amaysim to keep my number. If that makes sense.

    • I dont think you port back the next day because I got a problem with Amaysim at the moment, I swap from physical SIM to eSIM and got stuck, I try to request swapping back to physical SIM and they told me I cannot swap within 7 days. Not sure if this apply to porting but I can imagine it will be similar.

    I noted that Amaysim's website (under 'Check device compatibility') has excluded Pixel 5A from the list!
    Does it mean eSIM will not work in Pixel 5A?

    I was charge double (2 x $100) for a Port In.

    Live Chat says that it's because there is another Amaysim account with the same mobile number and will refund.

    It also means my Port In was not successful (has full signal but can't call/sms/data) and have to wait for 40 business hours to fix the issue.

    • Same, ported my amaysim number out to Telstra yesterday and back again to amaysim today. Now have to contact them to sort this out.

      • Mine was due to an old amaysim account which I had years ago (which I've forgotten…)

        • They cancelled one on the spot and put refund through. I hope it doesn't affect cashrewards

        • I might have an amaysim account 5years ago, and I port over my number from Belong that I have been with for the past 4 years. Amaysim sim double charged me and my number is stuck.

    • I just joined last night and I also got charged twice (2x $100). I also got 2 verification emails and 2 successful mobile service purchase emails. I've never been with Amaysim before, so never had an account with them. Just sent them an email and hopefully they cancel one of them and I still get my CR… Not a positive experience so far trying to join.

      • Reading all the comments so far, it seems like there are multiple scenarios of this double charging problem…

        1. No previous account
        2. Have a past account with same mobile number (but created new account for this promo)
        3. Have only 1 account but 2 services of the same mobile number (reuse existing account for this promo)
        • I've joined last night with a fresh account (new email, new number) and get charged only once.

          • @timhn: Yeah, new number is fine. Port ins seems to be one that’s more problematic.

    • Just an update to everyone here - I managed to solve my inactive mobile number by doing a replace SIM (buying a $2 Amaysim SIM card) within 1 hour. Didn't need to wait for the 40 business hours.

      Note that the website mentioned it takes 1- 4 hours and only on weekdays, 9am - 5pm for replace SIM process.

      You can still opt for e-sim after - you have to wait for a week.

      Not sure if this invalidates the cashback but at this point, I rather have an active mobile number to use…

        No you cannot swap physical SIM to eSIM online, you have to call on online chat and that is my nightware. I requested and got message confirming it is ready with 2 hours, start the eSim download process via their app and stuck there saying cannot send me the eSIM until I make payment. Online chat with support and they dont see any payment to pay, and now escalate to their support. I now live without a phone for a few days already. Never thought the phone is so important nowaday especially so many organisation are sending SMS security code to your phone to verify identifcation !

        • Wow, sorry to hear you stuck in such mess. I wonder if similar experience if switching to different provider (eg. port out from Optus to Testra/Vodafone with eSIM etc).

  • I got big issue with Amaysim sim this time.

    I bought the $100 long exp 165g plan yesterday and chose to port over my number. My old sim stopped working after a few minutes became sos, but I could not download the esim from my amaysim app, I have tried a million times and still could not, just ask me to connect to wifi and “retry”.

    I called them and did the online chat with them for several times, the last time I found out they had two orders in the system and stuck…..then I checked my bank account and surprisingly found out I have been charged twice!!!! Then rep told me he would refund me the double charge, but my number has gone to their higher level tech team to investigate……for 3-5 business days…….

    Has anyone met this kind of situation before?

I login to amaysim app and found there are two same mobile number exist in system but one of them not able to be click. Now i am worry about that it may has the same problem with you that my mobile number will be inactive serval days if I port out to amaysim…. I have to chat with their support tomorrow to see if they can help me solve the issue.. or I’d rather to refund than my mobile number invalid even one day

        Exactly the same situation with me. Two numbers exist in my manage plans, but only one is clickable. I was billed twice but only one of the bills was paid because I specifically put only enough funds in that account to cover 1 charge. Anyway tried to activate esim, got the confirmation sms and hopefully it'll work in morning. But I feel Iike I have to chase them up about the porting as well potentially getting charged a second time.

  • Just add a new service to my account and been charged twice, so I live chat with customer service. Quick response with a refund and give reason “The system created a duplicate record for the same mobile number (due to system error), reason why you have been charged twice.”
    Need to contact with them again cause I will receive 2 SIM cards and need to find out which one to be removed.
    Cashrewards tracked instantly but only one $17.5 showed not two.

    • So far I've only been charged once. I logged into my old Amaysim account and purchased through there. Cashrewards tracked too.
