It looks to have an extra slot for a second nvme drive and one bay for a 2.5" SSD along with 2x DDR4 slots ..very good upgradeability

EDIT: My laptop came in and i can confirm it comes with a single stick of 8GB of DDR4 SODIM at 3200Mhz running in single channel mode. so buying an extra 8GB's is a easy way to upgrade.. also the GTX1650 comes with DDR6 ram.. confirmed by Nvidia drivers and CPUZ

good looking, is this metal or plastic? i just have had very bad experiences with plastic chassis laptops. about all 4 of them have broken after about a year or two..

Plastic shell, metal hinges, copper heat sink with heat pipes and 2 fans. (its built very well and made to handle a drop) the Videos above show it all… Most well priced laptops are mostly plastic

metal laptop for $800 ?! in what reality…

      • well lenovo had a deal which was a complete metal chassis for 1000, it sonly 200 more but way worth it

    • 4 laptops in 2 years? That's on you.

      • i didnt say in 2 years all together, i said most of them did not last more than 2 years and usually the hinges snapped or the under body plastic vents broke

  • All Gone ?

    • Looks like its OOS

  • pretty much the acer nitro 5 christmas bing lee deal. Tho it did arrive with a $100 wine gift card, and I managed to redeem crysis remastered 1 2 3 and humankind via intel even tho bing lee wasnt part of the promo.

added 1x8GB and 970 evo plus 2TB and the laptop hasnt missed a beat.

    good deal.

    • This one has a 144Hz IPS screen… and even just browsing the net and using windows moving the mouse around you can tell the difference between 60Hz vs 144hz.. doesn't need to be in games not that many PC's can get 144hz FPS let alone most laptops

The Acer Nitro 5 is also 144Hz, it is practically same laptop tho the Acer has a far superior chassis. Adding 1x8GB is a must, you will enjoy the laptop.
        Again good deal :)

        edit specs: Nitro 5

    • Got the Same one bumped it to 32GB, Threw in a 2TB Spinny out of a seagate portable and an extra 1TB NVME. Scored the free epson printer but missed the crysis promo. mainly used for 3D printing, emulation very capabale machine. Does struggle with even older games sometimes, skyrim is playable but not buttery, AOE iV is smooth. only minus is the acer battery has a heafty self discharge, every time I use is 50% is gone but was 100% a week before.

      • only minus is the acer battery has a heafty self discharge

Thats a good thing.. batteries lifespan last the longest when at 50% .. negative and positive force degrades lifespan so keeping it at 50% helps

  • I am sad that I didn't buy one of these when i saw it available but was working at the time ..

    • If not needed.. you saved $799

  • My laptop came in and i can confirm it comes with a single stick of 8GB of DDR4 SODIM at 3200Mhz running in single channel mode. so buying an extra 8GB's is a easy way to upgrade.. also the GTX1650 is essentially a 1650 super as it comes with DDR6 ram.. confirmed by Nvidia drivers and CPUZ
