Subway's Sketchy Eat Fresh Club

I have often been frequenting Subway for lunch during their $7 Chicken Fillet promotion. Since it's finished, I decided to sign up to their Eat Fresh Club to see if they had any other good deals. They had a once-off deal you can use for a free 6-inch sub with any 600ml drink purchase. Went in, ordered my sub and went to use the coupon and was told that their store is not participating in and of the 'Eat Fresh Club' promotions. Since then, I have put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and tried 4 other stores, all who said the same thing. There is nowhere on the site where you can see a list of stores that are participating… And there's actually nowhere that you can contact Subway Australia, there's only an American feedback form you can fill out.

Has anyone had any success using 'Eat Fresh' deals? I think that includes the free 6-inch on your birthday… Anyway… Seems sketchy to me.

Sandwich sleuth, Subway sure seems sketchy. So sorry.

    • +1 for A-grade alliteration! :)

      • I didn't know if anyone would notice, or know the correct terminology. Then I saw the great debate going on in the site feedback section about removal of off topic posts. I now fear for a good portion of my responses, as well as those of others.

  • yeah, i signed up expecting a barrage of good discount emails. have yet to recieve a single one.

the best deal is pocketpal (free at most uni's) - our one had buy one get one free (1ft long)

  • I actually managed to use one-off deal "Free 6 inch with any 600ml drink purchase" at the Subway near Melbourne Uni in VIC. But the guy did check my name on the coupon and verified it with my driving licence.

  • I guess all the franchises are privately owned… So the owners are allowed to decide whether or not they want to be a part of it. The ones I tried were out around Sunshine.

    • yeah most of the Subways are privately owned which is why there are more subways than maccas and subway is not on stock markets.

"Once again, the conservative, sandwich-heavy portfolio pays off for the hungry investor."

  • I've had no problems using any of the vouchers so far at several subways around my area. That includes the six inch one you mentioned, along with other by one get one frees.
Also, with the bday subway, have done that a well and they gave it to me with a smile. Did not even check name our license on any of the deals that I printed out and had my name on it. as I said, I travel around so this is a few stores.
But there's been very few offers, if any, of late.

  • I use the store in Vermont South, Melbourne. Never had a problem there before. They also have a VIP card which gives you the choice of either a free cookie or a small drink (pre-mix) with the purchase of a foot long sub. The $7 chicken foot long sub and free small coke was excellent value IMO.
