After seeing the other Headspace deals posted recently, I figured that it would be worth reposting this deal from 2020 for Los Angeles County residents.

This offer appears to have been extended longer than initially planned, although I am unsure for how long it will remain valid. My account from two years ago still remains active and have just tested it with a new subscription.

As this is provided by Los Angeles County and intended for its residents, you will need to decide if you start that chopper (or is it 787 in this case) for redeeming the offer.

To register, you will need to allow your browser to share your location during the activation process and you must also be physically located in Los Angeles County at the time of activation. Headspace will only access your location during the activation process and will not have access to your location once the subscription has been activated.

    From the previous posting:

    Android

    1. Download "Fake GPS"
    2. Go to Settings, About phone, Software Information
    3. Enable Developer Options by tapping on where it says Build Number, about a dozen times (just ignore the pop up), enter unlock code when prompted
    4. Hit back, twice, you're now back to main settings
    5. Scroll down and click on the new Developer Options
    6. Go to Select Mock Location App, about the 16th thing on the list, click and select Fake GPS
    7. Open Fake GPS, pan across map to put yourself in LA County, hit the Play button
    8. Come back and click on link in OP and follow instructions
    9. After you verify go back and hit pause in the Fake GPS App/ close/ uninstall it

    Chrome

    -If you have already gotten the message. 'You are not located in Los Angeles….'
    Go to Settings(3 dots on the top right corner of your browser) -> privacy and security -> Site Setting -> Location -> remove headspace from the list.
    -Press Alt + Shift + I to access Developer Tools or click the 3 dots on upper right of browser
    -Select the three-dot menu icon in the top right of the pane developer tools.
    -Scroll to “More Tools” and select “Sensors.”
    -Change Geolocation to "Other" (or “Custom location…”)
    -Add the Lat and Long coordinates 34.0522 latitude, -118,2437 longitude into the boxes underneath Geolocation.
    -Reload the web page.

      Nice instructions there - not sure where you 'apply' the location after adding in the Dev mode?
      Bit retarded Nord VPN (LA) and or incognito mode don't work.

    The city is in partnership to deliver this to its residents. Which means usually, it's paying for it. You're stealing that from another person. It's theft.

      Same since the end of 2020, great resource. Now not working either. Either the free membership has come to an end in the US or the influx of new subscribers tipped them off. Too bad this was great and it really helped me out when i needed it. Now i can't afford it so i have to look at alternatives.
