50

Plenty of stock so do delays on this offer. Limit 5 per order. Similar specs to Eneloops with higher rated recharge cycles 1600x v's Eneloop 1500 times. Both Evolta and Eneloop are 800mAh rated batteries so similar in this area as well

Alternatively have created a similar offer here for 4x Evolta AAA + 4x Eneloop AAA for the experimenters out there

  • Are you sure these are 8 pk…. Why bother with a personal alarm thing… would have been better to do a lower price.

    • Yes 8x AAA….. GE bonus is free ie. no value attached

please show a link to a suitable recharger - and how much in combination please

    • ditto

    • Hi Vjknight & Fox,

The Eneloop Chargers are compatible with the Evolta range of batteries. I have added the Eneloop overnight (8-10 hour)charger with 2x AA as an option to this offer for extra $18.

Normal price $22.90 inc postage Full details here http://junglejumble.com.au/sanyo-eneloop-nimh-battery-charge…

  • Why are rechargable AAA's always 1.2v?, alot of my devices will only work with regular alkaline 1.5v AAA's as they require the extra oomph to get started.

    .

    • Rechargables can supply plenty of "ooomph", try shorting one out :)
The nature of the beast (Ni-Cd, NiMh) is 1.2v.

    • +2

Most current devices that state that they require 1.5v will happily accept 1.2v. The chemistry of a Ni-MH is such that 1.2v is the power it gives out - there is nothing you can do about it. If you are looking for more power in your rechargables you will have to buy the more recently developed Nickel-Zinc batteries. They will put out 1.6v but you will need to buy a new charger.

Battery voltage is dependent on the chemistry of the battery. Different chemistry, different voltage, e.g.
Lithium iron disulphide = 1.5V (Energizer lithium)
Lithium manganese dioxide = 3.0V (lithium watch batteries)
      Lithium thionyl chloride = 3.6V (AA-size computer back-up battery)
Lithium ion and lithium polymer = 3.6V (mobile phone battery)
Nickel cadmium = 1.2V (old AA rechargeables)
Nickel metal hydride = 1.2V (modern AA rechargeables)
Nickel zinc = 1.65V (new battery type, rechargeable)
Nickel iron = 1.2V (rechargeable, used in mining applications)

      • Lol, would have been easier linking to a wiki page.
Hope you didn't have to type the whole thing up

        • +3

I design electronic stuff with batteries all the time, it's what I do for a living. I knew all the info from memory, it only took a minute to type.

Nickel zinc batteries look promising. They were patented over a century ago, by Thomas Edison - yes, the same guy who "invented" the light bulb and the phonograph. His batteries didn't survive many charge-discharge cycles, it's only in recent years their design has been improved to give life similar to NiMH batteries.

  • Can you do a special for $20?
Remove the alarm for cheaper postage

  • Rep, please note that new batch of Eneloop (model HR-3UTGB)is rated at 1800x recharge cycle, so your comment above (about this Panasonic Evolta battery have slightly higher recharge cycle compared to Eneloop) is slightly misleading.

Or maybe you are referring to your older batch of Eneloop (HR-3UTGA), which only have 1500x recharge cycle?

      Touché

    • AS far as Australian stock bought from SANYO Australia this info is correct

  • There is a higher capacity LSD rechargeable battery, PowerEx AAA Imedion, which claims to have 950mAH but only 1k recharge cycle. There are many user reviews to backup their higher capacity and LSD. I have not used it yet but am thinking of trying. Have anyone used it? If so, how does it compare to the Eneloop/Evolta?

    • Are they low drain like the eneloop?

      • Yes, pls read Amazon user reviews:

"The capacity of Imedion AAA cells is the highest among all LSD cells currently available on the market. It is even comparable to ordinary 'high-capacity' NiMH cells, which are typically rated 900-1000mAh. So now you can get the best of both worlds. As of this writing, those PowerEx Imedion AAA cells are priced about 10% higher than the 2nd-gen eneloop AAA cells, but offer about 15% higher capacity. That makes the Imedion a much better value."

"I use these batteries in my vibrator. Trust me, it's important that they don't run out at the "wrong" time or it could be pretty frustrating!"

you can easily guess why the personal alarm is free now !!

and yes to make customer happy they are selling the batteries now along with the alarm !! :-))

  • Bought 1 pack. Thanks rep. I think this is better than the eneloop deal from shoppingsquare.

  • Thanks for the clarification :)
