I have never tried this beer so can't vouch for it, but it seems like a good price. Appears to be Aust. wide. Normal price is $59 (Dan Murphys - NSW).

      To be fair, that % is on par with a lot of other lagers, particularly the mainstream low carb/no carb offerings (Pure Blonde/Extra Dry etc.)

        Yes the alcohol content of pretty much most mass produced breweries such as CUB has dropped from 4.9%-5.0% down to 4.6% down to 4.2% all for the same beer over the last few years. That doesn't make it right. Beer prices go up, bang for buck goes down.

        Take 150 lashes for example. When that first came out it was a 4.9% beer and it's now down to 4.2%

        As they continue to water the beer down the taste suffers.

        Pure Blonde used to be 5.1% when released, then 4.6% now 4.2%.

        Same with Tooheys Extra dry, was 4.9% originally.

        They tried the same stunt with VB (lowering alcohol percentage) and people got so angry CUB made a big song and dance about returning it to 4.9%

                @Laserface: How do you know what I drink? I simply used these as examples.

                I drink for taste which is why I don't drink any of the watered down piss passed as full strength beers these days.

                Alcoholic content is actually a very good indicator of taste btw.

                I'm a fan of IPA's and some of the more potent beers up around the 8-12% range which taste fantastic! One is enough though.

                You should try something other than mainstream brewery stuff.

    Might give it a go, the participating venues list is for places that have it on tap, not for the slabs at dans/bws - those should be Aus wise it seems.

    zero carb, it's good for the waistline , while still being able to enjoy a beer.
    it's not meant to be as good as a super carby beer. it is what it is.. it's for weight watchers..

    Have had a carton of this before, it’s not too bad in my opinion. If you want craft beer, or craft beer-like flavour this isn’t it though, it tastes like tooheys extra dry or similar to me. Dunno how to explain it other than to say it just tastes like a no frills nothing fancy plain old lager beer - which is fine if that’s what you’re up for.

    I buy this quite a lot - it’s a good guilt-free refreshing beer. Great if you’re on keto too.
