Hi everybody,

here are four deals on Amazon.de. Since Amazon has now stopped using flat fee postage most products have become more expensive to ship. However, sometimes a drop in price partly compensates for that. That is why I included the Toshiba 46 inch tv in this deal. I posted it before and it came to $737 delivered, so almost $100 cheaper than now. However, then the postage was 40 Euro and now it is 228 Euro so obviously the price dropped significantly to partly make up for that increased postage. Given the brand, the fact that it is 3D, that it is 46 inch, and that it has several tuners, and has a high energy efficiency rating I still think it is a good deal. If you do not think so, please include a link where we can buy it cheaper to make this a useful post.

On occasion I could not find exact model matches but tried to match as close as possible - I will make it clear when that is the case. Please use Google Translate/Google Chrome to read the websites if you do not read German. If you really run into a problem despite Google Translate, please let me know and I try to help out.

And please: Those of you NOT interested in anything here, please just skip the deal rather than voting or commenting negatively (see Ozbargain rules) merely because you are not interested.

The closest price I could find here was $863 delivered but that was ONLY for the camera. The above deal includes a 18-55 wide range lense which is worth a couple of hundred bucks which makes the Amazon deal a pretty good one.

This seems to be the exact same product as sold on Amazon (all the technical data seems to be identical) so for those interested in buying a stereomicroscope this is a great deal saving almost $700.

The cheapest price I found was $325 delivered but that was for the BSG814266AU model which I believe is a lower range model or predeccesor of the one on Amazon. For example, the 814266 has 1200W while the 81466 has 1400W which means it is slighly more powerful. This is well suited to vacuum up animal hair andc comes with 4 pieces of accessories.

    Don't mean to complain or anything, but the Nikon EZ MICRO Stereomicroscope is 650 euros which works out to be $763 and that is before shipping. Am i missing something here?

    All Amazon Germany deals have the VAT removed one step before submitting the order. This means that the price you see includes %17.5 German VAT which you won't have to pay. Hence the actual purchase price is lower than the price you see on the page.
    By the time you get to the penultimate step you will the final price you pay.

    Thanks for posting - although these particular deals are either a minor saving (camera) or for items I have no use for. Surely putting the tv back up when it is $100 more then last time is stretching it? Sure, it's still an OK deal but I think we need to draw the line somewhere otherwise ozbargain will become cluttered with crap.

    Btw Gallifrey, would it not be easier for you to start up your own website/blog dedicated to current amazon.de deals? Surely you could make a small amount of money through advertising or something?

      Re the TV: I agree that it's more expensive and less savings can be had but for me, personally, if I save 300 instead of 400 it is still worthwhile and a bargain (not as good as before admittedly but still a bargain.) I will take your advice on board and will only post items again if their price drops and the original post expired.
      Re the shipping: I am not sure what it's like now. Before, the postage was flat. Just try it. I assume that with some items the postage will remain the same (maxed out already) and with other it does indeed increase slightly (I did try it with the Settlers board game and other games).

    I always wanted a microscope even though I have no practical use for it. Also the kit lens on the K-5 would not be worth a "few hundred" but given the previous DWI deal was $800 body only, this is good.

    I am wondering how you guys find out whether the specific item would be shipped to AU. I think it is quite trick unless you try to add to the cart and check out. It will become very annoying when the number of items you are interest in increases.

    Good price on Pentax K5 (a kit lens is WR and its build quality actually is quite good).
    If K5 had manual controls for video mode I would buy it.
