  • Need QQQ to rock up and knock a couple of hundred off the price :)

    • +1

Great tools, used these recently to replace my timber deck. However, it can be purchased for similar and close to similar price elsewhere, cmon QQQ!! do better and you got me!

      • Almost bought…
        i'll wait for QQQ, haha.

  • Looks like these come with 2.4Ah Nicad batteris. Not bad in themselves, but they do weigh an extra 500g or so each over a similar rated li-ion battery.

    • +1

Nicad have terrible shelf life, they discharge themselves too quickly compared to Li-ion. Not much of an issue if you're always using them and charging them up regularly, but if you'll only be using them occasionally, and don't want to have to wait to charge them up before use, go find something that uses Li-ion.

    • So that's the gotcha, NiCD's !!

apparantly most decent brands are now made in china, so not as good as they used to be… I believe milwaukee are still made in the US.

    • not my milwaukee impact driver. made in china, and owned by techronic industries (HK based).

having said that, its still a killer impact driver, plenty of power, and very well built

      • hmmm… thanks for the info…well that certainly changes things.

  • C'mon QQQ, pretty pretty please…

  • Just go to Sydney tools…

  • Problem isn't the price - this is already a pretty good price for the kit - but do realise this kit is obselete!

DeWalt have recently released their new shape battery with a new charger, so you can only assume that the old style battery and charger will be phased out.

Edit: When I say recently, I mean a few months ago.

  • DeWalt is quality ;)

  • This has been on COTD for a while now….

    but Nicads :/

  • Is this a good deal? I don't mean the price, but who requires all of these tools right now and doesn't own some already?

Is it some hobbyist who has idea's of building great things after seeing this or maybe some tradesman who has had everything nicked and needs a new set?

Wouldn't people buy these tools as an when they need them?

  • Buy them and sell the one's you dont need. I did that, and ended up with my tools for free. Because the price i got on my sunday paper was amazingly good.
