MS Word documents with password protection - Open on iPad or Windows 7 Phone

Hi all

Has anybody found a solution to sending password protected documents to an email account, and then opening them on an Ipad etc. At present no default software will open them on the Ipad, and I want a "free" solution if possible.
Googling doesn't give me any answers, other than seeing others with the same issue :)

As an interim fix I have downloaded PrimoPDF which has allowed me to convert/print from word to pdf with a password protection :).

Doesn't have to be "corporate" grade security, but something that will stop your average hacker if they get hold of the document.

Cheers in advance

  • Thanks ozpete, it looks to be the best option. I did notice when googling yesterday, that somebody mentioned if it was created in Office 2010 and saved in 2003, there maybe issues. Not sure if it's true or not, if anybody has used Docs to Go, please let me know. Cheers
