I like to finish all my sentences with an exclamation mark! Sorry, couldn't help myself. Oh. ! ;-)

I expect one of the handy hints will be to try 'zigma learning'? Again, sorry. Ignore the bitter old man in the corner. I'm sure that they could offer a lot of valuable assistance to kids. Don't know this group, but personally I'm a big fan of individual coaching/tutoring. By the by, probably worth noting that this may be NSW only. From their website (http://zigma.com.au/index.php/who-we-are) "We are a result driven HSC coaching that offers English, Maths, Science, Physics, Chemistry and Biology tutoring programs for years 7,8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 anywhere in New South Wales."…. oooh… perhaps that should be something like "…are a result driven HSC coaching group that offers…"

    • Exclamation marks make everything exciting!

    The HSC is overrated…

    • +1

There's always an IB (International Baccalaureate - http://www.ibo.org/general/who.cfm) if you can find a suitable school. Perhaps not perfect, definitely would not suit everyone, but certainly better known/recognised globally…..

      • +1

True. Either way, no one looks at your marks one or two years after you've been in uni / TAFE

  • +2

Lol finished yesterday! no way im doing this :P

    • haha congratulations! Hope you get the ATAR you want!

    • Arhh so many people finished.
Just one more exam and I'll be finished tomorrow, hope to ace design and tech :)

    Bahaha HSC.
Here is the Asian ATAR-Max'ing lineup you need. You can choose legal studies or business studies as well, and substitute 4U Math for 3U math (doesn't scale as well because 3U also incorporates 2U math), 2U English can be upgraded if you want, don't do General or you're capping your marks.
    4 Unit Maths
    Chemistry (2 units)
    Physics (2 units)
    2 Unit English (Adv)

Make sure you study hard (and if you need to, get tutoring help) and you're good to go :)
You can try dispute it.. but just ask the Ruse/Baulko + top 10 selective school kids (the bright ones) what subjects they do.
Sure you can be passionate about a subject… but it's highschool, not uni. It's time to endure stuff you don't necessarily like the Asian line-up, but if you want a good ATAR to get into uni, it's 2 years you'll have to churn through.

As other posters have said: This is an Ad, not really a bargain :|

    • +1

What are you talking about, there's no substitution allowed at all; don't even think about dropping to 3 unit maths. If you drop out of 4 unit, you may as well drop out of school altogether.

  • +1

This isn't a bargain, its an advertisement by Zigma Learning, clearly a web-seminar isn't worth $150, its free… But at least the association was clearly noted, so its ok.
