Hungry Jacks - $1 LARGE Frozen Coke !!

1730

Does this really need a description? $1 for a LARGE Frozen Coke at Hungry Jacks.

Bought this at Hackham, SA 17/12… probably all stores, as the other products in the same campaign are being advertised on TV / radio etc.

And yes, I know 7-11's have slushie deals all the time - but down here in SA we have no such luxury - this is probably the cheapest real Frozen Coke has ever been anywhere around here.

I've seen and heard all the ads for thickshakes for ages too, but as far as I know they haven't advertised Frozen Cokes — and if I didn't go through drive-thru tonight, I'd have never known (this after I paid $4+ at lunch for one at Maccas :/)

    • +10

      Thickshakes =/= frozen coke.

      • +1

Whenever I hear the word 'thickshake' I more or less think of something that involves milk and ice-cream.

      • +11

This is correct, milk shakes bring all the boys to the yard.

    damn it
i saw "hungry jacks" and got mildly excited….
then saw $1 and got quite excited in anticipation of which tight ass feast i have to look forward to………
then saw frozen coke and my heart sank.

bring back the $2 whoppers hungry jacks, we know you read this forum (from your threat of legal action over the free whoppers) :)

    • Wait, they seriously done that?!

      • yea hungry jacks legal team sent letters demanding that OzB take down the free whopper deal or they would peruse legal action. luckily it was in its last days anyway from what i recall. by then everyone who wanted the voucher already had it saved :)

        • Wow.. just did a quick google and found the thread in the forums. That's crazy. Good work HJ's, think I'll keep my $1 :P

  • good deal, even 7eleven cost at least $2 for tiny cup

    • However the 7/11 slurpee is worth more than 3x more.

  • +2

Pretty cheap & awesome price for a frozen coke, especially in this weather. Damn you OP. Now our stores are going to get smashed to hell with everyone buying $1 frozen cokes. When I was working the other day, the machine was always in defrost cycle. I had to tell so many customers that frozen coke wasn't available due to that.

    • let it do its magic overnight

Dont worry, the store wont burn down

  • as much kJ as the cheese burger!!!

  • Hope its available in Newcastle, I spend too much at 7/11 altho they do have better flavours!

  • NSW as well. Saw poster the other day while stuck in traffic.

  • +1

they dont advertise at the HJ here in melbourne. Went to the two at Melbourne Central.

  • +5

    One dollaaahhhhh!

    • if only it was 99c it would work really well with that thrift shop song.

      • "Just bought this drink from Jack's, Kinda tastes like R. Kelly's sheets (Piiisssssss)
But shit, it was 99 cents!(skull it)"

  • +1

    Can anyone confirm QLD?

    • +1

      Yup

    • +3

I saw it on a bus.

  • Saw this at Parramatta HJ, but not in Pitt St.

    • I'm sure I saw $1 frozen coke on the "penny pincher" menu at HJ George St (at the cinemas). Not sure about Pitt St though.

  • It's in Victoria too! (saw it on a bus)

Since when is sugar an ARTIFICIAL sweetener?

Lots of city kids might think it comes from a packet but the truth is quite different ;-)

    • i dont know why you're getting downvoted, this i completely valid.

      • In 2011-12, the average Australian man was 175.6cm tall and weighed 85.9kg, and the average Australian woman was 161.8cm tall and weighed 71.1kg.

        Wow

  • +6

$5 for a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger, 5 nuggets and a large frozen coke isn't too bad for a snack.

    • or a heart condition ;-)

But seriously, it makes me wonder what they put in the nuggets to be able to sell them that cheap.

      • They put chicken nugget in the nuggets.

    hooray for diabetes…

or as my wife would say diabeetus!

Apparently not available at St Peters (NSW) as there is no button for it or some such? She eventually gave in and sold me a $1 frozen coke when it became clear I wasn't moving from the Drive Thru without one.

Why do people in retail/QSR take things so personal…

    • -1

Because for most of them it is the height of their career?

      • +14

Who gives a stuff what people do for a job, as long as they're working then good on them!
What you do for a job does not equal who you are.

  • Not bad!!!

  • I'm pretty sure that I can get a large Coke at my supermarket for a $1 and put it in my freezer?

    • +7

I'm pretty sure the Hungry Jack's down the road from me is closer than your freezer?

      • -4

You don't have your own freezer?

        • A-ha ha! I get it!

  • +1

Lol, I saw the Frozen Coke sign at my local Hungry Jack's the other day but kept walking assuming it must just be a small one. But woohoo, Large Frozen Cokes at work all summer long! :)

  • +1

had one today at Parra Lvl 5, top notch quality. Better than 7-eleven slurpees for $3, well worth my $1. :)

    • Really? Hmm last time I had one from HJ it paled in comparison to 7-11

      • probably has something to do with the rainy weather lol…

but it was really good frozen coke :)

        • tsss, good one.

  • +2

I will like this once they come up with frozen Coke Zero :)

  • Is this available in WA?

  • +1

Is this also available in Melbourne? Going out right now and would like to buy one.. as I usually don't since they are regularly around $4..

    • Got one just then in Springvale, signs all over the place :)

    • Yes: Richmond, Kings Way -City, Prahran

  • how much is a small one? ~ just curious

    • +1

i think it was between $2- $3. Its cheaper to buy a large one!

  • Ordered two large frozen cokes at lunch in Sydney today. The cashier was surprised by the $2 total and went to the manager. The cashier didn't seem too happy when the manager approved it. Oh well, I'm not complaining!

    • +1

No skin off the cashiers back… jeeze…

  • Awesome, great for these hot summer days

  • WA does not seem to have this deal (advertised anyway).

Went to both HJ's in the CBD and neither show any signage of this promotion.

  • Anyone know when this ends?

  • No signage at HJ in Melbourne that I have been to yet, but can confirm that they are $1. My local HJ only had the coke flavour, so not sure if this applies to other flavours i.e. Bubblegum.

    • Not all HJ have the signage up, but ask before ordering for $1 price.
$4.95 stunner meal deal still available, but not all HJ have signage

  • +1

got my $1 frozen bubblegum fanta.. coke was on defrost :(

the nuggets are surprisingly pretty good.. had the bacon cheeseburger too :D

    • I share your pain :(

  • +2

A real ozbargainer would use the HJ app and hopefully get a 50% off shake and win and buy 2 frozen cokes for $1.00

  • I tried one of these frozen cokes tonight (first time since last summer) and I cant believe how bad it tasted compared to earlier in the year. Took it back and politely asked for a replacement. The next one was just as bad. Did these suddenly get horrible, or did I just get a coke out of a bad pre-mix or something?

    • Nar you're right.. and I thought it was just me

  • A$1 @ Sunny Bank plaza, QLD

    • ^____^

  • most of the CBD Melbourne stores don't even have the $2 nuggets anymore. :(

    • Or the $1 small coffee

  • +3

Combined with the HJ shake and win app… pretty good. Went yesterday for the $1 coke and got a free medium chips with it… not good for the muffin top but good nonetheless

  • +1

this deal is no secret it is now emblazened on the full height of the sides of trams and buses in Melbourne

  • <broken_english>Sorry da frozin coke macheen is not vorking</broken_english>

In other news.. fakegps doesn't seem to work with Shake'n'Win anymore??

  • Is it just frozen coke? Does anyone know if they have frozen Coke zero or Diet Coke too?

    • Think its just the one variation.. dunno its its regular or zero.. guessing regular

      • HJs never had diet or zero in frozen

  • Frozen soft drink machines hate getting overused…if it's cycling, just go back another time

  • I got one…. for $1 you can't go wrong!

  • Bankstown HJ are always out of frozen cokes

  • Kids meal is better in KFC. Frozen Coke is better in HJ. Coffee is better in 7Eleven. Keep up the good work guys. will stop going to Maccas. Pay fancy price for its fast food and crappy toys.
