In the olden days of early broadband internet we used to buy an amount of downloads and then we were shaped back to dial up speeds.
Does any Mobile supplier offer this option?
Im trying to get the lowest cost for between 40-50gb per month (sometimes we only use 30gb)… and i thought if someone does a 40gb with shaping .. that might save some money? :)

Belong (Telstra mvno) do shaping. After you use your data you are slowed down to 1 Mbps until the next billing cycle or you purchase more data.

I've used this recently & it's good enough to check OzB & watch YouTube at 480p. Basically it's unlimited data, winning.

If you can get Vodafone coverage, why not get prepaid 500GB $300 from Kogan?
Do you need voice/sms as well, or just data? Just data for example, Vodafone mobile broadband is $20/month for 60Gb then shaped at 2.5Mbps. Otherwise if you need calls on top, the Felix deal is probably better.

Dodo used to on their lowest plan, I think it was like 2gb a month for $10 and then maybe 512kb shaped? Eventually the shaped speed got dropped to 256kb or similar because I guess too many people took advantage of it. Then they killed it off completely.
when i was on telstra post paid, they shape you to 1.5Mbit once you reach your quota.
Honestly, i thoguht all the major telcos did this? part of thier "no excess usage charges" offer. They simply shape you.
Edit : I just quickly checked, optus shape you to 1.5Mb, vodafone shape you to 2Mb so yes; they all do shaping.
