Not bad for New 2025 TV
be aware that the 75 inch one has more back light points than the 65 inch
has more back light points
So more likely I'll get sprung watching pr0nhub, but great for watching CSI?
@Thbloke
what do you mean by this? could you please explain about this further? since I'm interested in getting the 75"
Thanks
For the miniLED, the light Matrix are different in C6K model in different screen size. but for C7K model they are the same in different screen size. Please compare the specifications.
I'm confused by these models, it's not on par with the C655 right, as it's miniLED? The C655 was QD-LED or something.
Is it that they upgraded the 6 series this year?
In store I noticed a huge jump between the C655 and the C755, I presume that's the difference between LED and miniLED. I'm wondering if the C6 will be good enough for my eyes now, I really hope so as it will save me a chunk of money hahah. I'll have to check out the specs.
Yep QLED vs QD-MiniLED
They have upgraded 6 series hey?
Really interested to see these in store, I could barely tell the difference between C755 and C855 other than a slight bit of brightness, so I would definitely go for the C755. The C655 looked absolute crap, washed out and no brightness (not sure what the setting was on). I wonder how close the C6K is to the C755…
I honestly haven't been keeping up with TCL I'll need to check some review, but have stopped the "TV search" since I picked up my LG C4 last year.
@Tbargain12: I've been doing a 'TV Search' since the LG C2 clearance deals 😅
Been too indecisive, and every time I finally do decided on something there's no good deals going around. By the the there's another sale I'm not sure what I want again!
Right now I would be happy with:
I know I've got two different price points here, but if I'm not getting an OLED I would prefer a cheaper miniLED. Would prefer 77" OLED but can't afford, if I'm going cheaper miniLED option then that makes 75" affordable.
@bleeder: Haha same here man, I've been searching since C2, missed that boat, then C3 came around, waited and wasn't happy with the price, finally C4 came and I grabbed it I believe before black friday when the 42" went on sale at JB price matching HN.
I only need 42/48 for the bedroom as I can't fit anything bigger with the speakers beside it. So I got lucky there!
Yeah for sure I think nowdays MiniLED should be absolutely fine, I have recommended the previous gen TCL to a mate that needed a big TV for the new house and he's very happy with it.
@Tbargain12: I started this whole thing when the 42" C2 went sub $1000. Ended up just getting the 32" Dell refurb 2 years later finally lol.
Now somehow I want to upgrade my main TV…
Glad I'm not the only one that does this hahah.
@bleeder: Haha for sure, yeah the 42" LG OLEDs are great for a small bedroom set up, one thing I was worried about with OLED was playing rubbish 1080p source if it would be too noticeably bad, but I'm using the Nvidia Shield and it plays well.
Good luck hope you find the one you want this year mate.
As a countrepoint, the C745 wasn't a mini LED (it was QLED), but was amazing and looked better than Hisense's budget mini LEDs.
So QLED can look amazing.
But hte C655 looked like crap, much worse than the C745 and C755.
Other than that, I'm hoping some others will chime in on their opinions.
I will actually go have a look maybe tonight or on the weekend, will report back.
I'm pretty set on getting a TV during these sales if the right deal comes up, so need to know what models I like.
Not sure there will be good enough deals for me in EOFY sales though, I'm willing to wait until Black Friday if required. I don't need all time low type prices but want it close (I mean relative to last years models).
C745 still had full-array local dimming even though the LEDs weren't "mini". 120-220 dimming zones depending on size.
Yes that's cheaper but shipping kicks it. I see that Betta have this price $1295 but with free shipping
It's $1190 with free shipping for some
Good Guys same price if that helps anyone
What is the replacement for the equivalent replacement for the c755 in 55”? Ty
C7K
Wow! That’s a hefty price increase.
It's only just been released so price sucks right now. If we're lucky we will get a nice EOFY deal, otherwise probably waiting until Black Friday
Looks like the EOFY sales for TVs have started… Might hold off for a price closer to $1k
