  • Adobe? No, thanks! Crappy company, enough alternatives exist…

  • Affinity is better. Apple silicon optimised, too. and no subscription

    • this

      • I wish they had layer blending options that are easier to use, but it's just a skill I need to get better at.

also object selection could be better, but at least it all happens locally in GPU

generative features I use Luminar Neo to complement. that's more of a Lightroom competitor, but has advanced stuff for photo editing, and no subscription necessary either. between the two applications - and there are always codes floating around to get them even cheaper - I don't reach into Adobe ecosystem at all these days.

often I would develop RAW in Luminar, do some things that it's good at, export 100 quality JPEG into Affinity and do advanced stuff there. for quick studio work sometimes Luminar is sufficient on its own.

  • Adobe are scum

  • Cancelled my subscription (second attempt pending, scammers) for our graphic design business, the monthly costs going up monthly, it’s a joke

Looking forward to Adobe going out of business due to its greed
