This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

Grab your copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 or Mac office 2011 for $8 - $15 depending on what country you choose($8 for NZ, $10 for USA and $15 for Australia.
This pricing is only for eligible email accounts with company/education emails.

Also works with hotmail accounts but will cost you $30, because you will have to buy both the DVD backup copy and then add the license (as per ozbargainers comments, plz read thread page 4 and after).
From teh comments, MS charges $15 for the Licence first and possibly charges the $15 for the DVD later after its shipped. It is possible then to contact Microsoft and cancel the DVD to save $15 as per here.
Also note that when using a hotmail email, you can only purchase MS Office for Windows. Not sure why they dont allow to buy MS Office Mac when using hotmail

To Use with Hotmail:

Use any @hotmail.com address and then Program code 05383F4FAC.
But you better be quick before they fix the hotmail bug
Please all thank methos for the tip

If anyone is interested in the pricing of Office 2013, i got it from here

So, how about the rest of the Office SKU's? For starters, the traditional Office Standard will cost $369, while Office Professional Plus 2013 is priced at $499. Undergrads and doctoral students may want to check out Office Home & Student 2013 for $139.99. Meanwhile, Home and Business is priced at $219.99, and Office Professional 2013 runs $399.99.

Similiar to the deal i posted here that was for the 2010 edition

      • Excellent, I tried it just then and it worked! :D

  • Is it just me, or is the install really slow?
Edit: why the neg? I was asking a legitimate question. SMH.

    • Yeah same here, must be a big file to download.

  • the hotmail method works like a dream. Thanks, scored a now legit copy of MSoffice

    • Thanks, scored a now legit copy of MSoffice

      Till they cancel it…

      • Have they actually cancelled orders before?

        • They'd need to cancel you license - it's provided at payment.

  • Sorry for the noob question, but is there such thing as an expiry on these copies? Thanks

  • Thanks OP, used NZ address as well

  • taken from the T&C

Using hotmail may be considered as microsoft employee.. that's probably why my purchase went through with NZ store no problems! Thanks OP!

  • Just purchased with a hotmail address woot! Anyone know how big the download is?

  • Oh wow.. just upgraded Windows 8 from the beta which deleted my beta Office 2013 and now I get a legit copy for only $15. Love you.

  • just purchased but getting an error when i try to run the .exe i first downloaded.. says it wasnt able to download a file from the internet..

    anyone else getting this?

edit: now getting "windows cannot find C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office15\ClientX64\integratedoffice.exe'
make sure you typed the name correctly and try again"

  • Nothing with "@uni.sydney.edu.au", at least for me

  • Sh*t hot deal op. Just grabbed it, cheers. :)

  • OP, welcome to deal of the month! ;)

  • hmm cant add just the program , I can add dvd backup and program but it wont add just office to the basket…weird

    • same thing,
      I bought it with a DVD :(

  • +2

tip for anyone with hotmail, if you add +something to the end of your address ie [email protected] it counts as a different address.

    • Why would you want to do that?

      • It only lets you purchase one item, so if you wanted both office 2013 pro plus and office for mac 2011 this would come in handy.

      • +1

Its allowed me to buy 3: Windows, Mac and one for my girlfriend who couldnt get her hotmail address to work.

  • +1

    @tabcorp.com.au and @globalskm.com worked…

  • Used hotmail address and it worked. Thanks!

  • which way is safer to pay, cc or paypal

    • Paypal in general but either would be fine for this deal.

  • initially didn't work when I tried checking out but after I changed location to NZ, it worked like a charm :)

  • Seems to work with @canberra.edu.au for UC people. Not sure if students have @student.canberra.edu.au because I don't go there, but I tested with asdf@canberra and it worked.

Edit: it seems UC students have @uni.canberra.edu.au, so it looks like it's only staff.

  • Works with @ecu.edu.au and @kpmg.com.au. Thanks OP!

Just bought using a brand new hotmail, thanks! Bought using the NZ site but I just checked, when I bought the last one about 3 months ago it cost me 7.91AUD, this time it's likely to be 7.95AUD - spewing ;)
BTW, does anyone know if you can download this and install later? I don't really feel like installing right now, especially as I'm moving to my new NZ Pizza Hut address!

  • Or use your REAL comgateway address

I'm almost complete I got Windows 8 for $40, now Office for $10, missing Pro Pack, gives me an error

  • Worked with hotmail!

  • Thankyou for this.
    Works perfect with hotmail.
    No issues at all!

  • Anyone else having non stop errors when trying to install it?

And did everyone go for the 32 or 64bit?

  • It bloody default installed into my C drive and now I have only 16G. Anyone know where to download the 64bit full version?

Wondering If I should try it again but then I might get billed twice! =_= I better wait..

    • I had that too, worked on 2nd time.

    • I got this error when I tried to buy with the country as NZ. Setup a new @hotmail.com address and went through again with the country as Aus and worked fine. CC is through NAB and I've purchased internationally before so unsure why it failed.

    • Hey - how'd you get the PayPal option? I only get Visa/Amex/MCard/Wire Transfer and BPay?

  • ..

  • Got my copy, thanks Op. After installing why have I still got 2007? Must have to uninstall it manually. How antique.

  • Awesome! NZD10

  • Can I load this on two computers ? Is it worth getting a back up dvd for $25 ?

  • Works with @sa.gov.au :)

  • Great Deal !!! Thanks op!

For all the noobs out there, here is an idiot proof guide!

    1. sign up with hotmail
    2. go here and find new zealand http://www.microsofthup.com/hupus/chooser.aspx?culture=en-US (NZ is $10NZD which is $8 Aud)
    3. enter any hotmail address and Program code 05383F4FAC
    4. type "auckland pizza hut" in google and get a fake address
    5. pay with credit card (you get the serial straight away)
    6. download and install!

I did the above and worked with my visa debit card. I have office 2013 downloaded and installed (2.2gb) :D

Congratulations on being a douche. I bet you were that guy who always got bashed in school and then wondered why.

        • lol.

        Snitches get stitches

  • Thanks a Million, True OzBargain. :)

  • Wooo worked for me :) THANKS

So is the fact it's working with hotmail an error on their part or what? Who's this deal intended for anyway?

  • For those trying to save $5 by using NZ or any country other than AUS, be careful. Most credit cards will charge an international transaction fee (usually around $10), so while you think you're saving, you're actually spending more. You'd be better off just paying in $AUD.

    • -1

      $10 seems quite excessive…

    • +6

True ozbargainers will have a 28 Degrees card ;)

    • I used my 28 Degrees card :)

    • I'm with ANZ (Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited) so hopefully no charges will apply :)

      • with ANZ you might be ok because it's an NZ bank. I just came back from holiday in NZ two weeks ago. I used my CBA credit card once while there and when I checked my statement once back home the fee was almost $15.

        • Ouchie! Well thanks for the heads up anyway, looks like some people will have been better off buying the $AUD one

        • Do yourself a huge favor to get a 28 degrees card!!

    • Citibank doesn't charge anything.

    • NAB only charge a small % of the purchase cost. eg 10bucks would be like 30cents.

  • Have anyone read the MS term of usage? LOL.

    • +3

      Who's doing what now?

  • Thank you great deal :)

  • Anyone else having trouble downloading? Mine keeps stopping at 500-700KB total size :/

    • server has been ozbargained … 6000 clicks and just from one forum

  • +1

Is there anyway to make an ISO image to save for later?

The only option I got for downloading was an install link, which I think is normal?

  • anyone know if we can install it on multiuple machine? or do we need to buy for each PC?

    • Haven't seen the 2013 license but 2010 and 2007 that I know of the license says you can install it on one desktop and one laptop. In reality that means two installations where you want.

  • +1

I can't download from this site… Can I download it anytime from anywhere and just use this product key successfully?

  • I have 64-bit Windows 8 with Office 2010 32-bit. Should I continue using the 32-bit version or uninstall it first then install 64-bit version (and are there any benefits in doing so?)

    • If you use really big (memory intensive) files, you should install 64-bit.
But anyway I'm pretty sure you could run both. I run Office 2003 and Office 2010 on the same computer (don't ask why, I just find 2003 easier to use)

      • +1

Office 2013 64-bit install file won't let me install without making me uninstall 2010 first. I might as well, because why not?

        • It let me keep my Office 2007 installation

  • Thanks Easternculture and Bottomcoughs, all up and running for me. Had to create a Hotmail account, used Bottomcough's code. Had been using the pre-release version of Office 2013 until now. As a computer teacher using Word, Publisher and PowerPoint daily, the 2013 versions are much improved on the 2010 versions. Great software at a great price, I am very thankful!

  • +1

It activated by itself so all good :)

  • Dammit, I should've read the comments. Ended up buying 4 copies of Office for $!5 each. Any way that I could get a refund?

    • A true ozbargainer would read all the comments before buying the deal
But again, only a true ozbargainer would buy 4 copies of Office at that price
