Counter review: got this exact set up second hand for my 3 year old. She jumps on it, jumps off it and my wife and I lie in it when she needs comfort. Never had an issue with it. Great for sleepovers or just a novelty of using a different bed with the pull out.

Doesn't look like you've set it up correctly. Have the same bed for my 12yr old, plus 2 Goldens & have never had any issues with it. Slats stay as is.

I wonder what the issue is? I always have problems with slats coming off beds. Never knew what I did wrong.

The frame itself has 4 little protruding parts, usually rubber stoppers, where you lock the ends of the slats to the frame. The slat itself should be stretched along the frame making it very hard to come off. It's pretty hard to do but once you do it, it's not going to budge.

Depends on use case.
We have it for a child’s bed and it works ok, haven’t had any issues with the slats but smaller child might be the key.
I have got this ordered for my 4yr old. (First real bed) I’ll take it onboard any feedback

IKEA furniture is cheap crap

It's unfortunate you think that. You could've had some good furniture in your house and saved yourself some money 😊.

It's just a crap comment to make. For people that can't or don't want to spend more, what do you suggest? Instead of just saying it's crap, provide some suggestions so you don't sound like a troll. IKEA also offer a very generous warranty, often much better than furniture ten times the price. I agree the cheapest of their stuff is what you pay for, but they also have some very decent gear too.

@[Deactivated]: You just made a blank statement that their furniture is cheap stuff without providing evidence of it, nor providing an alternative (similarly priced) option. You buy a $50 chair from ikea and complain about the quality, but you're used to buying $1000 dollar chairs. Provide examples.

Thought I’d add another positive review. My young ones both have the slatted base with 4 drawers (also on sale).
Bought the most recent one only a couple months ago at full price because the first was pretty solid.

I had seen similar reviews with concerns around the slats slipping off but never been a problem. My kids are little still, but my wife has slept on the beds without issue.

I have this, I wouldn't recommend. It isn't very sturdy and the slates randomly fall, needing to lift the mattress to rearrange them. It gets old fast. The headboard is weird as well, it's too low.
I suggest you inspect it in person and try it out. You'd likely come to a similar conclusion.
