    That is one expensive gearbox.

FYI the Stonic lineup will get a major facelift and equipment upgrade (including a mild-hybrid version) and is planned to be available locally from October this year https://www.drive.com.au/news/2026-kia-stonic-revealed-due-i…

    • jeez even with the Mild Hybrid… there's no poke to be seen there, surely the GT should get a better main powerplant?

Sister just grabbed a 2023 Cerato GT with that 1.6T, now that's what a GT should be like.

15 inch alloys. Haven't seen them in decades

    • The last Toyota Prius (sold as recently as 2022) came with 15" wheels.

    Dual clutch lol

Driving one as a rental but not Dual clutch, it's fine - got some good features and modern things and by itself it feels completely fine. Engine must be revved up a bit to get going.
a few minor glitches like Android auto playing up and for whatever reason the air recirculation button just switches off by itself randomly every day even while driving.

now if you'd pay a bit more on say a Mazda 3 (33k?) , you get so much more quality on the inside and no dual clutch nonsense

Yeah, nah. I had a Kia once, they do not stand by their 7 year warranty. Dealing with them was an absolute chore and pain about any issue.
Never buying Hyundai/Kia again. Even Ford and Holden treated their customers better.

    • I agree with the pain to deal with for warranty, had major transmission troubles and they tried to get a dealership to hide it. Then months to get it fixed, with multiple complaints to ombusdsmen and politicians…
But otherwise a good car and great value.
      Shame how they handled it…

  • Don't get it. Sat Nav and DAB must cost about $50 to implement but you need to go the model up if you want those as options…

  • Had Kia once and decided never again

My current Kia is now up to 11 years and 300,000km. It won't die on me so I can upgrade :/

Mine is 27 years old and only done 75,000 klms. Dont trust her to drive too far, just in case, but she is still kicking with hardly any issues over all these years.

    Stonking deal

  • Yep…I'm into my second Diesel Sportage, the current one is 12 years old and has never missed a beat. The only issue I've had to contend with is the tendency for the gear box to hunt ….this one has towed a caravan all up and down the east coast as far north as Mossman in FNQ and as far south as the Great Ocean road in Victoria.

  • What exactly is the deal here? Have I missed something? Isn't this just RRP?

      im shocked a 1l car is 30k

  • I was about to buy it last year but I bought the Yaris Cross, it's more expensive 35k but worth it
