ATL this year? A few $$$ cheaper than usual. I’m not sure if you can price beat Amazon JP at OW. There’s a few other deals on micro sd (endurance and max if you look around).

Looks limited to prime - sold and shipped by JP Amazon.

I’ve never had an issue with Sandisk via JP. I did with a US card however Amazon easily refunded. That was sometime ago and haven’t had an issue is years.

That said, I still I check capacity and speed using the following tools on all new cards.

  • h2testw (Windows): Fills the card with test data and verifies it, exposing fake capacities and errors.
  • F3 (Linux/Mac): Open-source tool similar to h2testw for verifying the true capacity.
    And:
    • CrystalDiskMark: Benchmarks card read/write speeds to compare with manufacturer claims.

Sandisk High Endurance microSDXC Card, SQQNR 128G, UHS-I, C10, U3, V30, 100MB/s R, 40MB/s W, SD adaptor, 2Y, White (SDSQQNR-128G-GH3IA)

  • Seems to be a touch cheaper for $22.99 at Bunnings but is delivery only but free delivery.

I think this is the same one I looked at yesterday at JBHIFI for $45. Looking for one for a dashcam.

      $22.99 at Bunnings

      Bunnings marketplace

As someone who used to work at Bunnings, Marketplace is just advertising for businesses on the Bunnings platform.
99% of issues, need to contact the seller, not Bunnings.

(Not having a dig, just freakin hate the Marketplace)

      • I forgot to mention “marketplace “ so thanks for correction. Also for info on buying from there.
Might be able to use to get a price match somewhere or just get from Amazon.

I've tried in the past with OfficeWorks, they refused, YMMV.

    • +3

The consensus is to avoid these market place sellers. Issue with fakes and difficult resolution. Haven’t tried myself.

    • +3

Cheaper direct from that seller's own website and if it's not genuine you could always knock on their door on Swanston street lol

You sir are worthy of your username! I do have a targeted $5 off $29 spend which would have made the 2x purchase I was planning just some coinage, but the CheapGit deal plunderer find is even more off the 3x I need, or 4x I should grab!

If it hasn't been already, you've just unlocked your Certified Oz Bargainer Achievement ;)

        • I'll take the achievement but i'm having nothing to do with that Marketplace seller! lol

Have never made a purchase via Bunnings Marketplace so no idea what the sellers are like. That Veloreo seller is also selling memory cards via Amazon.

          • @CheapGit: Sorry but only your first 4 words apply to me, as I never said anything about Marketplace or Bunnings. My reference to the targeted offer is used in the context that we are beginning with an Amazon deal thus it inherits the logical planned purchase up until the discovery of your provided listing, which I also immediately linked back to Amazon having seen it not purchased from them in the past but had never considered to look beyond Amazon for a better price.

            • @parad0x: Well your original comment had obviously too many riddles for me to read and understand at 1am in the morning ;-)

      • +1

        It's not a shop or warehouse, but a 2 bedroom apartment https://www.realestate.com.au/property/unit-702d-604-swansto…

If it's where they live, at least the overheads are low.

        Reviews are mixed https://au.trustpilot.com/review/veloreo.com.au

Though, noting mostly unhappy people place reviews.

        YMMV.

        • I've had over 6 figure salary working for a business turning over that salary weekly solely based on my work output based income, balanced annually as well. That is to say a very small business turning over multimillion a year, which had a loft as its office that almost rarely was used (why commute when you can not-commute in my case, and working in the field with the same mentality for other positions)

          • @parad0x: Not knocking someone running a business from home, keeping overheads low.

I did the same when I first started out.

It was a reply to the comment about knocking on their door if you find you have purchased a fake card.

Even if they actually live there, you're not going to get to that apartment unless someone lets you up.

      @CL123
Same but looking for the Max
Endurance which is the only SanDisk card recommended by Viofo.

      • +1

Thanks @Primus Pilus. I appreciate the recommendation. 🤗

      • +1

I bought the Sandisk Max Endurance from Amazon yesterday $36.10 .Delivery today.

        • +1

          Me too!
It was the best price for the 128GB card according to Zyft.
I am hoping that replacing the Samsung Evo card will fix the issue with my Viofo dashcam which beeps continuously and stops recording while I am driving. 🤞

          • +1

@Primus Pilus: That is great to hear as i only looked on Amazon and bought it over the Samsung Pro Endurance because of the Viofo recommendation you alerted me too. I hope it does fix your problems and works well for me in my new car's dashcam. 🤞🤞

  • What one is good and cheap for switch ?

    • Thins is good enough.

      • +2

For a switch you can get something cheaper. This one is for dashcams and security cameras.

    • +1

I've had this card, though a 400GB one, in my Switch for over 5yrs now and no issue with it.
      https://www.amazon.com.au/SanDisk-microSDXC-Adapter-Performa…

    • Switch (1 not 2) option bargain to be had from the Target $10 newsletter sign up discount, applied to Super Mario Bros (I think) current special @ $60 - which comes supplied on a 256GB & free delivery for $50 with discount (whilst not cheaper than this 256GB variant, the performance - reportedly, and 3rd hand now - is in the realm of SSD speed). Mine will arrive beginning of this week for 1st hand confirmation.

EDIT: Above revised to "likely the best a Switch will utilise" @ $43.90 for SanDisk 256GB Switch Certified from Volereo direct

  • The only cards to fail on me, in decades, are these specific cards.

    Failed in multiple different devices.

Purchased from cheapchips.com.au, so zero chance they weren't genuine.

    I'd go SanDisk Extreme instead.

    • +2

I've had mine installed in a dashcam since 2020 recording nearly 80,000 km of footage and hasn't missed a beat - touch wood!

      • same.

had it in two cars. no issues whatsoever

      • Same. Outdoor trail cams and what not here. Rock solid. Perhaps chap as chips had a bad supplier.

        • +2

didnt even know cheap chips was a legit store to be honest…

the website isn't screaming authentic for me as well lol

      • I had a Sandisk (not this particular type) in my dashcam which the dashcam didn't complain about, but when it came to getting the footage (fortunately it wasn't for anything particularly important), there wasn't any, and it couldn't format the card.

    • What are you using it in to have failed

    • Cheap as chips. What makes you believe zero chance (an extremely unlikely statistical probability on it's own right, but you'd never catch me purchasing flash storage there, or /cheap/ anywhere named. I've never had a personal failure, from over 3 figures of total cards owned, that wasn't both an entry level line AND either questionably sourced / 10yr+ old / taken the idea of fit for purpose chewed it spat it jumped on it then tossed out the window having a fit on purpose (or any combination of the less detailed then thrown it in a 24/7 camera and forgotten to replace it bevause I didn't have an Endurance on hand.

SanDisk is the largest and most trusted manufacturer, owned by arguably the titan of the whole storage industry for longer than most member have been alive. Doesn't exactly ring synonymous with unreliable product.

CheapAsChips also, speaks for itself but love to know why 1. 0 chance 2. What benefit a SanDisk Extreme brings to the table besides likely being sourced not from CaC 3. What do you actually expect when you purchase anything from CaC as that's a single reason I even set for inside a store (cheap dog treats…), and leave again after about 5 seconds spent stationary inside the store & isn't the payment queue.

      • They’ve been around for decades. I forget that some people don’t bother visiting a company to actually check prior to forming an opinion. They are rarely if ever actually cheap. Basically just retail prices.

Why you take such issue with them having “cheap” in their trading name is something only your therapist can help with.

It’s only an internet thread on memory cards. Why all the outrage?

        • With not a question addressed, just a rage fuelled, vengeful and personal attack, you may not have provided anything relevant to your own stated conclusion. Does an internet thread on memory card, remind you of anything particular? An utterly disgusting display using mental health that way truly says something. Do you treat the physically impaired and disabled the same way?

You've successfully created a post which had absolutely nothing to say nor any connection,, but made its intent quite clear and warrior a near perfect display of keyboard skills far greater than I would never hope to display.
You removed the two things upon which you place your blame and carried on just the same.

Congratulations, you've surely proven more than a one thing to me. Most of all I've both wasted and afforded you far too much time.

          • @parad0x: I'm sorry I've triggered something by my post. I was going to post something unkind in response to your… well, I really don't know quite what to make of it?

If you said that you were 15cm tall, had a huge nose and a flouro pink mohawk, then I'd say "AH, you're a troll!". And it would at least make some kinda sense. But having looked in depth at your other posts since 2011 no less, I understand that I shouldn't be taking this personally.

I wish you kindness and humility and nothing but great experiences.

  • +1

Note this isn't Sandisks Max Endurance, and that some Dashcam's and Security Cameras specify Max Endurance, however people still report experiencing problems when using Max Endurance so YMMV.

  • 20th of October delivery for me on this.

If you wanted sooner can pay $25.94 for next day delivery (prime) @ Amazon AU sandisk store.
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07NY23WBG

  • $25.94 in Amazon AU, $38.78 for 256GB, only issue is that it's not solded by Amazon.
