SanDisk 512GB microSD Express Card $92 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Scorptec

980

Bought one for our Nintendo Switch 2, ordered it a month ago since it was half the price of other places, and finally arrived the other day.

Free click and collect, or pay for shipping

Not a sale or anything, this is just their price, and its less than half the price of other places.

I know someone here will want to buy all of them to resell, but I plead to you to think of all the other people that would want to buy one for their switch 2 and dont nuke their stock

Fantastic price. Think I paid 110/115 odd for the EB brand one back in July, and that was the price to beat.

  • I don't know much about micro sd cards but want one for my Switch 2 too - would this work and do the same thing for a little cheaper? Or is this one better for some reason (does speed or quality matter for micro sd cards??)

    • +5

That won't work, Switch 2 needs "MicroSD Express" cards which use a different data transfer format.

      • Ah, I thought Micro SDXC would be Micro SD express - that's very confusing! It's almost as confusing as usb naming schemes!

        • +16

SDXC stands for Secure Digital eXtended Capacity, usually 32GB+

SDHC stands for Secure Digital High Capacity, usually 4GB-32GB

Both terms have existed for about 2 decades.

Micro SD Express means it has two layers of pins and follows the nVME spec.

      No thats for switch one

    • +1

That one won’t work for Switch 2. It isn’t an express card. It’s branded for the Switch 1.

      • I got confused with the naming schemes! I wish they'd just call it Micro SD1, Micro SD2 and so on instead of this naming system they have!

        • +1

That wouldn't be accurate for the specific types of MicroSD cards available

        • +6

They do. One is called express, one isn't called express.

  • Can I use it for dji drone?

    • Yes, but no point since the dji drone works with cheaper 512gb micro sd non-express.

  • Great price but the $15 shipping is a bit steep.

    • beats paying $200 + shipping for them

      • Yeah spoilt from eBay and Amazon..

But looks to be OOS now

  • Thanks OP great price

  • Can i use for front and rear dash camera?

    • +1

Same answer as for the question about using one in a drone.

no point since the dji drone works with cheaper 512gb micro sd non-express.

Your dash camera doesn't need an SD express card, just an SD card.

      • I know it was msy lol Scorptec would occasionally beat msy prices, that's why I was there.

Just received an email advising my order has been CANCELLED.

    I hope all is well.

We sincerely apologize, but we have been notified by our supplier that the specific MicroSD card you ordered is now End-of-Life (EOL), meaning we cannot source this anymore to fulfill your order.

As a result, we have had to cancel your order and refund you in full. You should see the funds reflected in your account within 3–5 banking days.

If you wish to discuss alternative options please let us know by reply email and one of our sales consultants will be in contact.

We understand this news is disappointing and we apologize again for the inconvenience. Thanks for understanding.

    Kind regards,

    • Also cancelled. Congrats to those who received.

I reckon there was probably some pricing error along the way (whether via Supplier or Scorptec).

    • +1

      Same.

      Sure, "end of life".

    • same. end of life??? needed to have honoured it

    • Same thing too, what kind of bs is 'end of life'???

    • bit of joke given its still being sold on amazon, double the price though, so we can probably assume its a price error.

    • +1

They took down the page, and now its back up with a new price of $279, so much for end of life product!

  • They’ve pulled down the page too.

And the page is back with a new price of $279, so much for end of life product!

    • Thanks for your comment in the other thread so I was able to nab a bargain :)

    • Wow.
