    Bought it for ~95.
I can charge a dell laptop easily. As expected heavy.
    Useful if you are travelling.

    • +6

Being heavy and travelling don't go together, right?

      • +11

I don't know. Donald Trump doesn't seem to have this problem.

      • +1

        It's called rucking.

      • +1

If you are out and need to charge a Laptop not many lighter options.
If it is just phone or Tablet charging then plenty of options.

  • +4

Does this have the CCC rating ?

    • What is triple C?

      • +3

Can't carry it in Chinese airlines without the CCC rating printed on power banks

        • Only if it’s domestic. I just flew into Zhangjiajie from HK on greater bay airlines and then out from Chengdu to Melbourne on Sichuan airlines with non CCC power banks and it wasn’t an issue.

Get the high speed rail internally it’s more fun! 🤩

    • +2

There’s multiple different versions, you can get the CCC one for $83 on Aliexpress although then it doesn’t have the other certification marks. If I had to guess the Amazon one wouldn’t be CCC since it doesn’t mention it and would be targeted to the rest of the world. Pretty annoying to be honest - perhaps the design needs to be slightly different to get the CCC.

      • +1

        Just buy a CCC sticker?

    • Yes

  • My laptop (Lenovo Yoga) has a 72wh battery - does that mean this will charge the laptop once only from 0-90 odd %?

    • +5

The power bank will charge your laptop to ~ 85%. You'll need a 25,000mAh power bank if you want to charge the laptop to 100%.

  • +6

Its behaviour is a bit odd. A few times it hasn't charged up ,and after a couple of hours when I noticed and unplugged/replugged it starts charging again.
USB A output is also a bit confusing. very low charging, although with the same cable from a different charger I get much quicker charge.

USB C output works fine, but as soon as you connect more than one devices to it, restarts charging on all channels and switches to lower charging speeds. to achieve the stated 130W you must have very specific conditions with just the right protocols engaged at each device you are charging.

It charges my ThinkPad t480s fine

The screen is only good for a snapshot look of whats going on. It has graphs, but they reset as soon as you change the display or the display times out ( it happens quite quickly).

Its not bad by any means, but I was hoping it be a bit better.

If you are traveling into China, you got to make sure the powerbanks have the "CCC" certification printed on the powerbank.

    • +1

If you are just transferring like on china southern in guangzhou to another destination

then it's not an issue right?

Only domestic flights are affected right?

      • Only domestic flights are affected right?

        Yes…so far.

        • Cool thanks

Wonder when Ugreen will release their NAS here.

    • Same, I can't find any way to contact them to ask. I want of them DH4300 Plus NAS. Which is a bit of concern I guess…eg. if I can't contact them easily now, how easy would it be for product warranty?

  • +5

My colleague has one of these, you can use this as a weapon 😂 that’s how heavy this thing is

    • hey how is it as product, worth it maybe i need it for my macbook outside maybe? a weapon is second based senario too for the win.

      • +1

He said it’s really good, the weapon is just an added bonus.

      • Had mine for over a year and travelled with it as well (not to China) and it hasn't skipped a beat. Really useful powerbank esp for power delivery to laptops when I need it.

It's useful as well when you need to top it up and also charge a phone at the same time

  • +3

I bought this last time, It's extremely heavy, not recommended for travelling.

    • bought one, we’ll test it and get back to you

    • +2

I bought this one, probably the smallest/lightest 25000mAh power bank you can find on the market. I only used it for a few weeks so far am pretty happy with it.

    • I have this as well. Not just the weight, this form factor is also unsuitable for traveling. Difficulty finding places to fit this.

    • it is quite heavy. almost 0.5kg.
About 100g more than the slow charging power banks of the same capacity.

I travelled to Europe with it recently and I wouldn't carry it on me around the city if I didn't have a backpack on.
But the fact that it can just dump energy so fast, at the highest speed my phone is capable makes up for it. You just don't have to have your phone tethered to it for long, By the time you finish a coffee your phone is above 50% again.

  • Looking at getting a new one as I've got an international trip soon. What's the rules with taking these things on planes these days? Is there a size limit or something?

    • +2

100 Watt-hours max per battery, must be always carried in hand luggage not checked in (as they can fight Li-ion fires in the cabin but not in the baggage hold).

You may carry as many as a reasonable for personal use (I can't remember the exact vague weasel words used in the rules), and I have been able to carry 6 x 90 Watt-hour power tool batteries on international (and Oz domestic) flights on many occasions with no troubles.

They will usually pull you aside at the x-ray to check large-looking batteries and can be more suspicious of weird stuff from Amazon or Alibaba than they are of mainstream brands like Sony or Makita.

The UGreen battery above is 72 Whr, apparently. You'd want to hope it says that on the battery itself somewhere as "20000 mAhr" is just marketing drivel which might not always impress the airport security people

      • Thanks :)

      • Also a growing number of airlines have begun prohibiting the use of powerbanks in the air cabin and restricted where they can be stowed. e.g. Emirates, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Vietnam Airlines (to name a few who fly out from Australia) .

        • This is what I'm worried about, and if they disallow it I presume they will make you throw it out.

    • Lots of airlines are telling you not to store them overhead now so these chonk ones might be a bit annoying.
