  • Watch out for spoilers as the full game has been leaked online.

  • game has leaked online if you want to catch gameplay and all that, being streamed pretty freely for now

  • Leaked as in the ROM?

    • +1

Yup. Filesize: 4292410896. Saw that on Saturday. Though I can't find it on the majority of public trackers so no early preview for me I guess…

It's a NS game - the moment a cartridge is acquired, it can be easily dumped and decrypted. It won't be this fast if it's a NS2-exclusive game.

      Edit: Yeah… it's widely available on trackers now… Meh I pre-ordered mine anyway, I'll wait until 16th.

Purchase with discount eShop card + NSO Vouchers:
NSO Voucher = $135/2 games; After GC savings = $112.5/2 games; $56.25 per game
    PLZA NS2 Upgrade = $20; After GC savings = $16
    Total = $72.25 for PLZA NS2 edition
If you need the DLC, that's $45 (or $36 after GC savings)

Though you can sell physical, also save precious NS2 storage space by using physical…

    • If you use a Japanese eShop account (game will have English since it's based on your consoles language) it's even cheaper

      NSO Voucher = 9,900 JPY = $100~
      PLZA NS2 Upgrade = 1,000 JPY = $10~

      Total = $60 for PLZA NS2 and DLC is 3,000 JPY = $30~

All up it's $90 for the NS2 + DLC or $140 for all that + another game (could get LA)

Just a fyi, language game doesn't follow the consoles language setup. Not all games from the Japanese eShop despite being release globally has english. It's always best to check on Japan eshop page to see if "english" is one of the language the game offers before buying from there.

In this case for pokemon though, it's always been multi-language when they release so what you're suggesting does work.

  • Can you play it on switch 1 also?

    • +3

If you buy this copy, you should be able to. Though why not purchase the NS1 version at $69 instead, if you don't own NS2 console?

      • Oh I thought that's NS2 exclusive.

        • +2

It will be very likely that PLZA NS2 edition uses LN cartridges - can be played on both NS1 and NS2.

          • @xmagic: Wait I can play the Switch 2 edition cartridge on a regular Switch 1 console? I asked ChatGPT and it said it wasn't possible. If it was true why would they have 2 different editions?

edit: wait you might be correct

            https://www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Games/Nintendo-Switch-2-Editi….

"Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is playable only on Nintendo Switch 2. If the game card is inserted into a Nintendo Switch console, you can play the Nintendo Switch version of the game, without any of the additional features exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. If you purchase Pokémon Legends: Z-A for Nintendo Switch, you only need to purchase the upgrade pack to play the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition."

      • True thanks

  • I look forward to playing this on my….switch…..yes….my switch

Also $85 on Amazon w/ Free Launch Day Delivery (Prime).

    • Gotta love Amazon always price matching… makes it that much easier.

  • +1

So if it's been leaked does it suck or is it good?

    • I've been googling and found nothing so far.. does anyone know?

    • it only leaked this morning… people just playing through it now

    • It will be the same as the other 12 titles… Hard to find motivation that's for sure.

  • Wait for Target and use $10 Newsletter sign up.

    • But read postage isn’t on release day so already regretted now using them

      • choose for click and collect.

        • +1

Target's pre-order system doesn't let you, you'll have to order on the release day to do that.

      • oh no.. it doesn't deliver/post launch day? well.. sh..

        • You order online at 00:01 on release day.

Save $10 on big w newsletter and if you go to the everyday rewards app and buy big w gifts and save 3% on $75 which brings the game down to $72.75

As a huge fan of the Pokemon games since red and blue, it's incredibly sad how shit the graphics and company cash grab is for this game with the amount of money being pumped into the franchise. Let alone announcing paid DLC for a mechanic that should be in the base game.
But ok, I'll still get it.

  • Couldn't manage to get the newsletter $10 coupon, tried a few emails but took a while and I got impatient :-). Got it for $80 delivered with a work discount, good enough.

    • I gave up and just got it from Amazon for $85. Just shipped should arrive tomorrow

  • Ended up getting it for around $13.
I used Everyday Rewards I banked up to $60 & 3% off gift BigW gift cards in everyday shop in conjunction with the $10 off first online order newsletter.

Side note - You can't use the $10 off BigW newsletter promo on pre-order items, but after midnight into launch day it's no longer available as a pre-order so click and collect or post will become available like any other regular item.

  • How long does the $10 voucher take to come through?, I signed up 24 hrs ago, still nothing

  • Back up to $89 now on Big W, and Amazon too.

That being said, the reviews have been a bit mixed so I don’t regret missing out on the launch deal.
