Artist Guitars are excellent value. I personally own three of their guitars and have been very pleased with them. If you're after a vintage short scale Mustang-style guitar and don't want to break the bank, you can't go wrong with this.

cheap guitars are never good, they short cut alot on the quality and it shows you play them
If you're doing anything other than jamming along to your fave tracks sure. But anyone just wanting to fluff around, cheap guitars are perfect.
I've got an Artist AS72 Strat style (which is also $100 off) and an AT53 Tele style Guitar. Also have their cheap TV Yellow LP Junior style guitar.
The AS 72 rivals my American Strat after a decent setup.
Changed the pots in the AT53 to 500k and that crispened up the quite dark pickups. Also rivals my American Tele after a decent setup. The Junior style is just fun and great value too… Artist guitars service is also second to none.No don't work for them 😁

I own an artist les Paul style guitar. Looks great and plays ok.
Only downside is a twisted neck. A pretty big downside.
