Buy Amplitube 5 for US$32.99, Get 49 Free IK Multimedia Products @ Plugin Boutique

140

Credit to sup-sup who previously posted about the IK Multimedia group buy, however this is a little different as it gives you the best possible outcome of the Group Buy at the lowest price entry point. It is also requires an additional step of purchasing AmpliTube through a third party.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/929250

Through Plugin Boutique you not only pick up AmpliTube 5 for US$32 (usually US$199) which is a deal in itself, you also unlock the top tier of the IK Multimedia group buy in the process. This guarantees you 49 free products and instruments each worth up to $199. More free products are activated as more people participate in the group buy. Products to choose from include: Tonex, Modo Drums 1.5, Modo Bass 2, Pianoverse, Sample Tank 4, and T-RackS 6 Pro bundle. The T-RackS 6 Pro bundle alone counts as one of the 49 available freebies, while the bundle itself includes 40 plugins.

Edit - I have made some minor edits now the group buy goal has been reached (with 8 days to spare).

This might be the best audio software deal I’ve ever seen.

    Wow.

  • Searching for an answer… I have "AmpliTube 5 Upgrade" in my library.
I believe you can't register multiple copies of AmpliTube 5 to the same account, therefore it would not qualify.
But is the Upgrade considered different to the full version?
Don't really want to test by purchasing!

    • I think I have answered my own questions - yes!
      https://cgi.ikmultimedia.com/viewtopic.php?p=175665#p175665

    • +1

Yep, you can register multiple copies and by activating the new copy you will unlock the group buy

      • Oh nice.

Does anyone know if it shows you products you already own when picking your free ones? I’ve got TS Max and a few other random things so it would be quite the exercise to work it all out.

I just want Tonex and some addons.

        • Once you start selecting your free selections, it will grey out the ones you've already claimed. Though it doesn't flag if you already purchased it or if it's included within another product. E.g. I made the mistake of selecting Modo Drums and then also selecting the metal drums expansion, not realising it is already a preset in Modo Drums.

Like you, I was mostly after Tonex and the expansions, so I picked up a lot of them. I also picked up some of the AmpliTube expansions and will probably pick up some more as I'm running out of things I actually need haha

A couple of tips for anyone who takes up this deal.
If you select either Modo Drums or Modo Bass, don't use one of your free products on the expansion packs as they come with the full version.

T-RackS 6 Max is not one of the free products available, however you can essentially upgrade to the the MAX bundle by choosing these 22 specific plugins that are included in the MAX bundle but are not in the Pro bundle:

    • Bass ONE
    • Comprexxor
    • CSR Inverse Reverb
    • CSR Room Reverb
    • Dual Spring (Spring Reverb)
    • EQ 73 (Vintage EQ)
    • EQ PG (Vintage EQ)
    • Joe Chiccarelli Vocal Strip
    • Prism Reverb
    • Quad Image (Stereo Imager)
    • Quad Saturator
    • Sunset Sound Studio Reverb
    • Tape Machine 24
    • Tape Machine 80
    • Tape Machine 440
    • TASCAM 388 (Tape Machine)
    • TASCAM PORTA ONE (Tape Machine)
    • TEAC A-3340S (Tape Machine)
    • TEAC A-6100 MKII (Tape Machine)
    • Triad Chorus
    • Vintage Tube Compressor/Limiter Model 670
    • White Channel (Channel Strip)
    • Perfect! I was trying to work out which ones were missing at the moment. Thanks for this, saves a lot of time!!

Are all the TONEX Signature Collection and AmpliTube expansions not included in the standard versions?

      • +1

From what I understand they aren't included in the standard versions but I am yet to test for myself.

        • Yeah, that seems to be the case! I just went ahead and added all of them.

With the two Group Buy purchases I was able to add everything except some of the SampleTank packs. I just left off the packs that were purely loop based construction kits.

    • So I should just grab Modo Bass 2, and not Modo Bass 2 SE?
      Same for Modo Drums?

The names are confusing as hell!

      • Yes, just pick up the standard versions, e.g. Modo Bass 2…do not select the SE (special editions) or upgrades

    • Just noticed these two plugins aren't in T-Racks 6 Max, but could be worth getting if you want every single FX plugin in the Group Buy:

      • Lurssen Mastering EQ
      • Lurssen Mastering Console
  • thanks for this!!!

  • Thanks bought it :) i did not read carefully and bought compressor :D

    • Haha, oh well, plenty of other spots to fill.

  • Haha, I had come across this Amplitube 5 deal, though I misread the Group Buy conditions where it says "non-upgrade versions of Amplitube 5 are excluded". I assumed it meant that the normal version was being excluded for some reason.

When you're on the Group Buy page, and you click on "eligible Amplitube products" the standard version isn't listed. Actually it's not on the IK store at all. So that added to the confusion.

I'm assuming though you've already done this and it definitely works, just mentioning that anyway.

    • @Alias2000
Actually just double-checking, can you confirm this standard Amplitube 5 version works with the Group Buy?

If this works, I'll use it to get the rest of the SampleTank expansions - I just wanted to double-check first.

Only mentioning as I was reading a forum post (from a couple of weeks ago) where someone asked an IK rep about Group Buy exclusions with Tonex, they said:
"The non-upgrade version does not qualify for the group buy so it is not listed in our shop to avoid people buying it expecting to enter the group buy."

The normal version of Tonex must've been originally excluded (and not listed in the shop), though now it's the "Tonex Signature Bass Collection" that's excluded

  • +2

Confirming @sup-sup I purchased this deal and subsequently was able to download the qualifying free products from the Group Buy, and yes it eems to be only the Tonex signature Bass collection missing which is a shame. I could be wrong, but I read the 'non-upgraded version' not qualify as being the free version, with the paid versions being the upgradable versions.

If you go on the Bedroom Producers Blog, which is sort of like an Oz Bargain for music producers, you will find a long post on it which might help you.

    • Awesome thanks for that! Just wanted to be extra sure lol. Bought it just now!

Yeah, that makes sense about it being the free version - just funny they don't mention the same thing for SampleTank etc

I'm reading that Bedroom Producers Blog post now, explains it well. I should read that more often. Will bookmark it. Occasionally I've come across it on Google before.

      • Yeah it's a great resource for both free and discounted plugins. I toggle between that site, Gearspace, and audio plugin guys page on a daily basis.

If you like free instruments, I highly recommend joining Crow Hill Companies subscription list. If you are not aware of them, Christian who runs Crow Hill, founded Spitfire Audio before controversially departing a couple of years ago. Each month he releases a free instrument as part of the vault series. They are always a lot of fun. They release one each month and retire them after 6 months. You can pick up the expired free ones for a few dollars which goes to charity.

        • +1

Will check that out. I actually have quite a few Spitfire libraries - probably should use them more! I didn't realise Christian had left, only reading about it now.

  • +1

Can someone post a clear set of instructions? I don't want to mess it up. Thanks!

    • +3

      From doing it:

      Register account on https://www.ikmultimedia.com/

Buy amplitube on Plugin Boutique, log into your Plugin Boutique, go into My LIbrary. Amplitube will be at top and there will be a registration code (ie ATX50-ETC)

Download the IK Product manager and click register, stick that in there.

Then go to the user section of IK multimedia site into the promotions and you'll see that you have a lot of promotions to redeem. Every one is a product or several products to redeem. Obviously at that point you're going to be overwhelmed like hell about what to redeem.

Links at the how to in the url.
      https://www.ikmultimedia.com/allingb2025/

How to qualify for the promotion

Purchase any of the qualifying products from the IK Online Store or authorized IK dealer.
Open the IK Product Manager, select Register to insert your serial.
Access your User Area and enter the Promotions area.
Click on the Available button next to your "2025 All-In Group Buy" link to choose your FREE title(s).
After selecting your title, open the IK Product Manager to download and install your new product!

      • +1

        Awesome. Thanks so much!

  • +2

It looks like goal has been reached or is just about to. Not sure if IK Multimedia will just let it run out, or add some new goals given there is still 8 days remaining of the group buy. It might be worthwhile keeping a few spare slots to redeem incase they do something unexpected. Once you register your paid product prior to 31 Oct, you will have a month to redeem your free products

    • +1

Good thinking. I've kept 6 just in case. I did read an IK rep mention that there wouldn't be any additional products added… however you never know! Better to be safe and keep a few.

  • What's the best things to get after MODO Bass 2 and Drums 1.5?

    So far I've got:

    Drums
    Bass
    Philmarmonik
    TONEX
    ARC X

I'm holding out on T-RackS 6 Pro until the last day.

    • +1

Since you've got 49 free, I'd get SampleTank as well (and perhaps some expansions). I'd also get some of the Pianoverse plugins. And also some expansions for Tonex and AmpliTube - if you haven't chosen some already.

With so many free spots why do you need to hold out on getting T-RackS Pro until the last day?

I had two orders for this Group Buy so I was able to get more or less everything (I just left out some loop-based SampleTank expansions)

If you watch this guy play with SampleTank, it's nuts:
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNqmQg-0O18

That said - he's a really good musician, so he'd probably make anything sound good. Regardless it's such an entertaining video.

      • Oh nice! I was thinking about SampleTank… Pianoverse sounds great too, but not sure which modules to grab.

Yeah, not sure why I said that LOL. I think it's because I was going to try the "max" upgrade path that another user suggested above, and that might take up too many spaces. Fingers crossed they release some more slots before it ends, perhaps?

        • +1

Keep in mind the T-RackS 6 is the pro version, not the max. If you want to have the same products as the MAX version, you will need to add the products I listed above.

If you're a guitarist, I'd also recommend picking up some expansion packs

    • I was redeeming so many things that I forgot to get a few of the packs for Amplitube.

I'm loving ToneNET as well, as a fellow preset merchant.

  • If buying this can you also get the paid iPad version through the Group Buy and it's bundle upgrades? or is this just for the Desktop software?

    • No, this is only for desktop software. Sadly, the iPad versions are not included as options in this promotion. The IK Multimedia site gives details of the products that qualify you to be come part of the group buy, and the products that are available for you to select from if you buy an eligible product. The whole process is super easy and it was worth it just to get Tonex and the Tonex Collections for me. Everything on top of that, which is a lot, was just a bonus.

      • That's a shame as I have the free Amplitude iPad app which is fun but limited. Having the full app with all the iPad collections would have been great as a portable option. Reckon I'll still jump in on this and set it up on the laptop, seems like a too good opportunity to miss, and I have a Stomp I/O that would still make use of it.

  • +1

I've purchased and redeemed, but don't have any promotions coming up in my userarea. Anyone have a similar issue?

      • +1

"None of your current product registrations trigger any current running promotions. If you feel this is an error with your account, please contact our Support team here"

    • +1

Something's not right on their side. I had successfully redeemed about half of my 50 tokens, but now my remaining 25 or so are not showing. It's only showing the ones I've redeemed. All of those products are showing up under my account. I was wondering if it was because I'd started redeeming from the latest tier and was working my way up instead of starting at tier 1. It shouldn't make any difference, but that was the only thing I could think of as to why it had stopped working. I've logged a ticket with them, but given the deadline to make your choices of which free products to take is 31/10/25 it doesn't leave much time for them to fix it. And if they can't before then, I can imagine it would be a headache to fix beyond that date. Fingers crossed that they respond quickly. I chose to log it against the USA team. I've logged a query with them once before and they responded in about 48 hours on that occasion.

      • +3

You can redeem for up to 30 days after the promotion closes according to the site

  • +1

I have the same issue with missing redemptions. Only did it last night and picked up 5 additional apps using 5 redemptions and had lots of slots left that I was going to look into today. I've gone back to the promotions page and they're all gone apart from the 5 that I have already redeemed.

    • +3

Several posts online, including some from people who are labelled as IK Multimedia official reps saying that Amplitube 5 "was never a qualifying product" even though it's still listed as being eligible. Only upgrade versions are not. So it would seem they don't like the fact that people were able to legally buy their product for a discount and then register it and get the promotion. A lot of very unhappy customers at the moment. I hope they honour the deal.

      • +2

Do you have any links to the posts? Just went on their website and can't even see standard Amplitube 5 listed as a product anymore, just the MAX, CS and SE versions. Though it is listed in the Free Products list on the Group Buy promo page. I bet they're getting a lot of emails about it, I just sent one.

        • +1

Yeah it wasn't on the site even from earlier on!

Edit: The "free" list is different than what is eligible, I think that's where a lot of the confusion stems from. And then when they do mention what is eligible, it's worded a bit funny: "Excluded products: non-upgrade versions of AmpliTube 5". I believe it's basically saying the "normal" version isn't eligible - it's just written in a way that's perhaps not super clear.

      • +2

Seems to be working again! Though very slow and is timing out a lot. Any recommendations on expansion kits for SampleTank and T-RackS 6 Pro?

      • +1

I actually do think it was their intention not to include this from the start as I had noticed that AmpliTube wasn't showing up on the IK site (it was like this for a while).

That's why when I posted the IK Group Buy in the other post I didn't mention this Plugin Alliance deal - as initially I assumed it wouldn't work - but I wasn't 100% sure I was interpreting the IK Group Buy conditions right. And then when I saw this other OzBargain post here, I just assumed I probably read the conditions wrong.

However, at least they appear to be honouring the deal which is the main thing!! I had 2 remaining slots for AmpliTube which I've just used now.

  • +2

There is lots of conflicting information flying around… this deal is now officially over. The good news however, is an even better deal is available to anyone who missed out on this AmpliTube deal. SampleTank 4 can be purchased from Plugin Boutique for only $19.99 using the coupon code HAPPYDIWALI06 (expires on October 31st), it will qualify as a $199.99 product for the Group Buy, and you will get all 49 slots again.

For anyone who picked up the AmpliTube deal, the slots were taken down….however they now appear to be back up. I just redeemed my remaining 2.

  • +2

To their credit, the IK rep on there is being very transparent and they're trying to fix it. I logged back in today and I have one coupon, whereas I should have 26, so it's still got some issues. I checked the deal on SampleTank mentioned in the previous post, but the code is no longer valid so I don't think anybody will be able to jump on that band wagon now.

  • +3

IK has fixed their free product redemption challenges. For anybody who has had some issues and gets to the Promotions section to see their available vouchers only to find there's one there and not fifty, fear not. IK releases them one at at time. So once you've redeemed one of your tiers, the next time you go back you'll see your next one ready to go. Repeat that until you've used them all up. I managed to use up all 50, which is more challenging that you think because there's so much stuff on there. 80% of it I won't use, but it's nice knowing it's there should I ever want to see what mastering using a specific 80's Tascam tape deck sounds like.

    • +3

Thanks, I was just jumping on to say the same thing, i.e. you have to access remaining 49 products one at a time.

Amplitube has also now been added to the Group Buy eligible products.

Credit to IK Multimedia for honouring purchases towards the group but, though the cynic in me fears it would have been a PR disaster if they didn't.

What a rollercoaster ride of a promotion haha.

  • The IK website won't load now. I've got about 35 promotions to redeem but can't get to any of them. Not feeling great about this deal anymore.

    • Keep trying, it will come good eventually. Don't forget it will only show one available slot to redeem at a time. It might be better jumping on there in the afternoon whilst the rest of the world is asleep.

      • I've been trying all day. It's now nearly midnight and I haven't managed to even get to my promotions page.
