Not sure about OP but the solar panel delaminated on mine after a year, I contacted Eufy and they just sent out a new solar panel. If you google its a pretty common fault. But at least the solar panel is a separate part, you don't have to replace the whole camera.
I like it enough I am watching the price and considering getting one for a relative.
I actually managed to weave the usbc cable into mains power in my garage (as the camera was positioned above the garage door) so I never bothered with the solar panel. The majority of the cable is tucked above the top of the tilting garage door area so is not exposed to much (if any) harsh weather.
FYI. Thoroughly recommend this.
for me it was the long usb extension cable that failed all of a sudden. the solar panel looked funny but was actually still working.
the camera itself was technically also still working, however the battery was completely flat and decided to ask for a replacement.since the model has changed in the meantime, i have received a refund only, so am probably going to give the newer one another chance.
did you contact through eufy?
i bought it from Harvey Norman and they were able to process everything under ACL. just took some time but got my refund.
@J0hn: Eufy is pretty good with replacements. I've had camera's replaced because of the solar panel issue (the all in one type so the whole camera gets replaced). They've replaced one that had gone out of warranty too.
Also running mine with a solar panel I bought from amazon with this one. One of the S330 that has the solar panel issue but couldnt get them to replace it is now running with an external amazon solar panel for charging.

I had the older one and like others, the solar panel failed. (sun damaged) lol.
They replaced my whole unit camera and solar panel with this one. It has a lager solar panel is all I can see that is different.
did you have to return old one back?
Yes, they said if I dont return the old one, further support may be jeoprodised or words to that effect.
I’ve got this one installed for 8 months.
Quick and easy to install.
Great quality video.
Battery has always been fully charged (even during winter).
Not sure if the solar panel will have issues like some above said.
Time will tell.
Overall, I would recommend it.Btw, I bought it for 218 each from Bunnings back in late Nov 2024.

What is the difference between 1st and 2nd gen?
@kummo mentioned above that the newer one has a larger solar panel
Was way cheaper on Aliexpress $269 but it appears that now they will not ship to Australia anymore, probably at the request of the Australian distributor.
What was wrong with the old one? I have one and it’s been ok? Is there something we need to look out for?
