    Idiocracy got this right…

    When the Idiocracy team was designing the film’s dystopian future, they wanted everything to look absurd yet believable… like something people might actually wear someday. The costume designer found Crocs, which were virtually unknown at the time, and thought their odd, plastic look was perfect for a society that had stopped caring about style. Director Mike Judge agreed, saying they looked “completely ridiculous,” but also plausibly mass-produced. Ironically, by the time the movie came out in 2006, Crocs had exploded in popularity… to the crew’s disbelief, since they had deliberately chosen them as a joke about humanity’s decline in taste.

      weird thing is though. if you have ever owned crocs you would know they hold up well.

      they also seem to be the "default shoe" for everyone that goes to the local supermarket after hours.

      in saying this, I got some knock off crocs from either anaconda or bunnings for less than half the price, and they are still holding up well too. 🤣

    I was in two minds, but now that I'm wearing them no regrets. US 9 is oversized for me and I usually buy 10s now, have to have the back strap thing down for them to work. Wondering if 8 or even 7 would be better

    I love these, they're hideous, if I could get them in my size I absolutely would - I think the last pair of crocs I had were a 10 and they were snug.
