Cheap two roll filament dryer, for getting moisture out of hygroscopic filaments and improving print quality and consistency. Recently bought two of these and they're much better than the old esun dryer I had before, but did need to print a mod for filament pathing.

If you're playing with TPU or Nylon filaments, thoroughly recommend something like this.

    • Isn't there a vent at the top for that???

      • Yeah there is - I got this a few months back for a similar price. It does a pretty decent job at drying.

I am not sure what I was expecting but it isn't a very exciting machine. You click the preset or settings you want, you walk away for X hrs and you come back with dry filament. It does what it says it does I guess.

      • Yes, thanks.

    • There are two spots for desiccant at the bottom. I have found this dryer quite good if not a little noisy, which doesn't bother me as it lives in my shed with my printer, but I wouldn't like it the same room as me in the house.

  • There is a vent at the top. The latch can also double as a slight prop which I've found works well to drop the internal humidity.

Yep I do the same with mine. Usually leave it closed for the first hour or so then pop it open even now and then and just leave it slightly propped open and the humidity stays low. Still needing to get around to this mod which helps with that as well.

Also another mod to help with air blowing directly onto part of the filament but unsure if this one is really needed, done this for mine already anyway.

  • Do I need a dedicated filament dryer? Or can I just use the Bambulab AMS 2 Pro powered by AMS 2 Pro Switching Adapter on my P2S?

    • Use your AMS 2 Pro

    • FYI, AMS 2 Pro can't print and dry at samt time, if this doesn't bother you, AMS 2 pro is good enough.

  • I have no idea what this is and why you would need it.

Something to do with 3D printing?

  • The Comgrow version of this exact unit is $84.15 on eBay here.

  • Man someone please make a portable dryer for clothes lol. I don't care if it does 1-2 shirts/jumpers/pants/ect at one time… I'm tired of depending on a cheap basic $10 in-store clothes hanger that takes several hours/days to dry clothes.

    • Hair dryer perhaps? Lol

      • I actually tried that once several years ago… meh.
I know electric clothes hangers also exist too but I'm too nervous to try one of those.

With all the mini/portable stuff coming out these days (Mostly at Kmart) someone gotta design a clothes dryer. An actual clothes dryer is like a couple of hundred and I have no where in my home to place one so a portable one would be awesome.
