No, (((

what iz ccc

Chinese Confirmed Charm…

Communist China Comrade

WITHOUT CCC, YOU CAN BRING IT TO EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD EXCEPT CHINA.

So far, yes. If other countries find the certification reliable, they will use it too. Remember, not all good things originate in the West. The East has had its fair share in the development of human civilisation too.

@Sfh1975: bro I'm chinese but i think its a bit of a stretch calling CCC a development of human civilization. toilet paper, gunpowder, paper yes, not CCC. You made me laugh hard

You can still take it to China and use it in China

@bchliu: Can if flying out internationally (I've done it many times)
Unless you get someone that doesn't know what they are talking about (usually in Shanghai) then you can tell them off in Mandi and they will let you through

@Poor Ass: how do you do it many times when CCC was introduced in June….? and I literally saw them confiscating non-CCC branded power banks when I went last month.

CCC was introduced in June….?
No it wasn't
CCC for battery packs was mandated 01 August 2024.
CCC for battery packs on domestic places was introduced this year
CCC had been around since 2002.
@spaceflight: It took me one google search to find this: "Only power banks with a clearly visible 3C certification label are permitted on board. This rule came into effect on 28 June 2025 and applies to all passengers flying to destinations within mainland China, including those departing from Hong Kong SAR and arriving in the mainland" - https://www.asiantrails.travel/latest-news/china-introduces-….
it doesnt matter when the certification itself came into effect if it wasnt enforced for international travellers, I have had family friends who went to visit last year and they had to issues with their existing power banks but if they went now it would be confiscated.
what exactly are you trying to argue? Prior to June they didnt give a sh*t

This must be made in China. How come there’s no ccc mark on it?

Because it's a certification. Obviously, not everything produced in China is certified lol. Some say, the CCC certifying companies are a money-making, money-laundering scheme but who knows.

Which idiot downvoted you for a legitimate question?
Especially if anyone is planning to go to China for a holiday.

CCC restriction is only enforced for domestic flights at the airport gates. No issue for international flight into China.

Also for International flights going out. So no point bringing one in if you cant get it out unless you want to dispose of it there.

@Alwaysagooner: https://www.scmp.com/tech/policy/article/3322002/china-rolls…
Just Google China Powerbank CCC and there's dozens of articles on it. I've known a few friends that have been confiscated so it's legit.

@Poor Ass: Got it. I’ll be flying in and out of Shanghai PVG but I’ll probably just skip bringing it to be safe.

@Alwaysagooner: I can confirm they confiscate non-CCC certified power banks, some people bought one inside China but it wasnt certified and it still got confiscated.

@bchliu: I just flew out of Chengdu with 3x non CCC powerbanks like 3 weeks ago, no issue.
My understanding is people were getting them confiscated early but if you have a boarding pass for an international flight you should be fine.

@Kabal: Probably depends on the airport and the quarantine crew really. Just saying I've had two guys come back saying they had power banks confiscated flying directly back to Sydney.

CCC is the new band 28?

If you care.. But who knows if it will be adopted by other countries in the future too? Given China is pushing for this new standard, I would suspect most Chinese brands to also provide this in the next 12 months as just another feature anyway. It doesn't cost anything extra other than certification and testing on their design.

Yes. At least we can laser engrave the logo on. It really means bugger all.

More like the new "this power board isn't compliant with Australian standards".

@Cleremy: that's a better analogy. or it hasn't been certified for use in Australia so will void your insurance when your house burns down, even if it's not the cause.

Even if you are there just for transit. They take it out of the luggage. So this is quite helpfulm

This seems very good value for 20000mAh ?
a lot cheaper than my previous 10 000 mAh from ugreen
Yes if you don't care about higher output or fast charging.

Thanks OP. I’ve been looking to replace a failing 10K powerbank for home use and chucking in my work bag. This will suit quite nicely.

A lot of airlines do not permit packs with fixed cables, so be wary.

Didn't know that was a thing, been to Thailand & Bali never had issues (Jetstar, Virgin and Qantas). Which airlines are making it an issue?

apparently you're not allowed to charge your phone with a power bank in-flight? grok is this true? what's the point of bringing a powerbank then?

To use the powerbank at your destination

Have started hearing this announced on flights - heard it on all 5x flights I just took.

Add $10 for shipping and that’s an average Amazon price. Would need to buy 3 to get free shipping but xiaomi doesn’t allow to purchase more than 2 in one transaction.

Good timing for KK/white elephant gift haha

buy two of each colour

I can't wait to receive these power banks. They will be so handy to use around the house.
I just got free shipping from buying 2 of each colour.

2 power banks + 1 x Automatic Foaming Soap Dispenser ($19.50) = $70.50 shipped..
https://www.mi.com/au/product/xiaomi-automatic-soap-dispense…

it was $29 on amazon. but free shipping is for prime sub only.

Despite they made CCC compulsory to get on the plane, incidents still happened anyway…
So if you are not going to travel in China, then don’t worry about the CCC.
True.. but there's very little in compliance at the moment and it's just another way for them to tighten up regulatory in hope it reduces the chances of it happening. Standard risk mitigation really.

Is the Xiaomi store on Shopback working for anyone?

That goes to a previous retailer that doesn't exist anymore. SB haven't removed it.

No CCC means not safe.

"Safe".

To be honest, 22W output will cover a majority of the things we own unless we rush. I can vow for Xiaomi powerbanks as the one I bought before covid still survives after dropping in my bathtub water twice.

Xiaomi was my go to during pokemon go days, they were cheap, and worked great. Then I stopped seeing deals for them here.

They have no use of this powerbank in China due to CCC certification. There will be lot of power bank sale soon.

The integrated cable means I can't use this for my iPhone 12mini?

FYI for anyone interested the model that was globally recalled was the 33W version, PB2030MI, not this one. They looked extremely similar for me. So checked this out. Good deal. Thank you.

Ccc?
