Probably can be combined with the following deal to get 10% off Timezone gift cards
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/930556

    • It worked for me last time, but when I went last night they said I can't use gift card for this offer.

I think they just didn't know how to process it.

      • +1

i tried today but they said the voucher can’t be combined with gift card

30 sec games for $2,50. Might as well save it any buy a console

    • +12

I'm guessing you don't have kids

      • I do and they also feel its an utter waste

        • +6

Now I feel sorry for the kids

          Childhood ruined over $2.50

    • +4

The rhythm games have better time to money ratio. About 10 min of play for $3.20.

      • +4

Even longer if you play 2 player, usually have 4 songs

        • Thabk ypu for working this out haha never knew i needed this.

Always tried to squeeze as much value out as possible.

Side rant, there was the old school basketball hoop shootout that would last atleast 1min if you score enough, now they've replaced it and raised the score to play on and also made it a lot harder with no 3 pointer scores. Games now halved in time limit. Smh.

          • @Pandaboss: If anyone has the unlimited play for X amount of time card, they can just tap it non stop and the machines count how many game credits are on it, so you can play well past the time limit, works best with the kid playing and the parent going around tapping it heaps on the games they will want to play

  • Getting an app error when trying to redeem in app…

Oops something went wrong. Please try again later.

    • when you make an in-venue purchase of $30 game credit or more.

      • No. I mean when trying to claim (generate?) the voucher in the app by redeeming PLAYON it spits that error.

        • Ahh. I didn’t need to redeem anything on the app, it appears at the top of the Home Screen.

          • @Winny182: Oh really. I see the banner. But it has a bunch of instructions needed to follow.

            • @kickling: You're better off redeeming it in person (just show the barcode), since you need to recharge at a venue to take advantage of the daily free games at that venue.

  • Timezone have been relentless with double dollar/$200 credit for $80 deals. Did they used to be like this?

Also, you can stack this with Ultimate kids which doesn't have JB, so should have plenty of stock at those 10% off/20x flybuys deals.

    • Maybe every 6 months or quater you would see promo like this.
It's honestly a joy to still see places like timezone still around. although pretty much all the games are prize related.

      • +1

I pretty much only top up when this promo is on. Roughly every quarter if not more.

  • After purchasing the double dollar and getting credits, anyone know how long the last till it expires ?

    • +1

I have never seen a reference to an expiry date on Time Zone credits. Sometimes I have been more than six months between visits and my credit is always there.

    • +3

      12 months from last use

      • +2

        Correct. From Timezone FAQ

Will my Timezone game credit and Powertickets expire?
Card balances and e-tickets will expire one year from the date of last use, at which time any unused balance and Powertickets will be forfeited.

        What constitutes “last use”?
Using your Powercard in a venue to play games, load credit or redeem prizes.

        • +3

So indefinitely as long as you play at least once every < 12 months.

  • Would it be $60 for 200 credit when combining the two offers?

    • No $80 for $200. The deal you have to wait for is Double Dollars so $100 = $200, and then you use your $20 voucher so $80 = $200.
The third deal is to use a 10% off giftcard to pay the $80.

      • +1

You do not have to wait for double dollars with this one, you can just go in store and ask for the 80 for 200 and give your voucher

The introduction to gambling for kids.

    • +5

can't really be avoided… eventually move on to pokies

less than 1% of the global population but has 18% of the world's pokies

    • TCG & Blind bag/box culture is the introduction to gambling. Most kids would be using this credit for skill-based games. The gambling-type games are usually flanked by adults.

      • While true kids definitely play these games also.

    • That's usually roblox these days

  • i did the load $80 and get $200 credit - note theres an expiry on them so it was fortunate the day i used it with my kids it was expiring the next day

credits shoudn't have an expiry date on them - will eventually use them if u ask me

  • +4

Best deal is loading $30 to have $20 off. That means you only pay $10 to get $30 credit.

    • I think you'll find 200-80 is a greater sum than 30-10

      • +1

May be greater sum but worse value. I pay $10 and I get 3x that value as $30 in credit. I pay $80 and get 2.5x that value as $200.

I already did a previous $80 load for $200 and didn't need even more extra credit, but spending $10 for an extra $30 is a no brainer.

        • Fair enough if you don't want to load up your card with too much. I've been slowly building to platinum membership to get the 20% off birthday for my boy then I'm going to cash out my points for one of the big prizes and never go there again.

  • +2

Same deal is going on at Kingpin, but has the code GIFT20 instead :) I CBA posting

    • wHAT IS cba?

      • +3

        Commbank

      • Can't be arsed i.e. Can't be bothered.

    • Aren’t they under the same umbrella now anyway?

      • Yeah both TEEG

      • Because of that the deal while being technically seperate can be used on the same card.

  • Yay, I can feed my maimai addiction again.

    • +2

      Same…

  • +1

Can you share a Timezone card between 3 or 4 people or do you have to wait for 1 game to finish before it lets you scan the next?

    • You can, no waiting. The waiting is for the unlimited for x hours ones.

    • The double credits thing is in the $20 voucher T&C's so if you have this voucher you can get $200 for $80 any time until Dec 9th

      • Does this mean you can do both at the same time?

        • I did on sunday. $80 for $200 credit.
