Hospital and extras, applies to new joins only.

Previous promos were 6 + 2 weeks, seems they've upsized the offer to 6 + 4 weeks.

Referrer gets $100. Referee gets 6 weeks free after their first 60 days. Plus, any 2 & 6 month waiting periods on extras waived.
Is this or the HBF deal better. Looking to minimise Medicare surcharge and have dental cover.
Honestly depends, if across the 10 weeks of free cover exceeds $500 then this is the deal for you.
Also Ahm have consistently cheaper health insurance rates so do consider the ongoing costs.
AHM was the cheapest cover to avoid paying the MLS in my state (SA).
It will be ideal to check the things to you want to insure first. From my research i found that the HCF is better. (i.e. incl spidn and back)
incl spidn and back
Spine and back?
Hospital clinical categories are standardised by law. See https://www.privatehealth.gov.au/health_insurance/howitworks…
I'm curious, what did you find better about HCF's spine and back coverage?
better in price in Bronze and Extra, and HCF is the only cover spine and back.
better in price in Bronze and Extra
OK, so now you're referring to Hospital and Extras cover. Unlike hospital cover, Extras coverage is not standardised.
HCF is the only cover spine and back
Unsure what you mean by this.
@YesPleaseThankYou: I remember the wrong cover. The insurance company is meant to be HBF.
HBF is the only hospital cover that include Spine and back at the Bronze level. AHM, HCF, NIB need to be at least Silver to cover it.

I think you mean Bronze Plus. 'Back, neck and spine' is not included at the Bronze level. See https://www.privatehealth.gov.au/health_insurance/howitworks…
A search here https://www.privatehealth.gov.au/dynamic/Search/ shows that the following funds also include cover for 'Back, neck and spine' at the Bronze Plus level:
You would be a fool to stay for the '4 weeks free after 365 days'.
Further, the '6 weeks free after their first 60 days' represents a 41% discount over that period.
You would be better off getting one of the usual 'pay 1 month, get 6 weeks free' offers, equating to a 58% discount.
No deal from me.
any recommendations please ..
I'm not looking at the moment, but if I was: https://www.google.com/search?q=health+fund+promo
All the insurers are listed here https://www.privatehealth.gov.au/dynamic/insurer Check their sites.

Thank you so so much..
Would it not be better to use the referral and get 6 weeks free after 60 days + any 2 & 6 month waits on extras waived
Thanks for the heads-up. I wonder when it expires - doesn't say in the terms and conditions: https://ahm.com.au/offer/10-weeks-free-WW-October-07-2025#te…
