Got a bit too excited and forgot. Thanks to whoever helped edit the entry for me 🙏
Got a bit too excited and forgot.
It happens.
Battery rated for 220 shots. No thanks. That's the worst on the market. Otherwise, looks like a fun camera.
Surely a typo.
@ForkSnorter The CIPA battery tests are unlikely how you use your camera. They use the built-in flash on every second photograph. Would you do that in reality?
Here are a couple of real life user reviews from this camera:
I’m very efficient with usage. I’m able to get well north of 1,000 shots on a fully charged battery for wildlife. I stick to my preferred settings with U1/U2/U3 and turn the camera off frequently. Limited use of live view.
I bought 2 batteries and have managed to go all day taking photos - no video. The second battery has never run flat and I have only needed it occasionally.
All mirrorless cameras have a very low battery rating. I find it's almost never accurate. The battery is more used by the time the camera is on, as opposed to when it's taking photos. So I just turn it off if I'm not using it for 5 mins or something.

Sony a6600 is rated for 810 shots. The ratings might not be representative of real-world use, but they are generally indicative of the battery life. The Sony battery is nearly twice the capacity of that Nikon battery.
In my experience, the Sony mirrorless cameras with their larger batteries lasted far longer than Micro Four Thirds cameras, which mostly have tiny batteries. Worrying about battery life kills the fun of photography in my opinion. I wouldn't buy a camera rated less than 500 shots again.
The ETA for the backorder is 3-4 weeks.
Price match it on Nikon AU's site :)
also on backorder now :(
It's been Ozbargained :(
Just got the Z50II body by itself, I already have that lens. The bad news, the camera doesn't come with a battery charger or even a charger plug, only a USB cable. In camera charging via the cable. So, each time you charge this way, the camera can't be used. This is insane.
This or the Sony A6700? (main use for travel, and family shots)
